About DatingFly

DatingFly is a free dating platform with an attached public community forum. This page explains who we are, how the site is funded, and what our editorial standards are — because you should know that before trusting a recommendation.

What we do

Two things. First, a dating service that is free to use, including messaging — which is the part most "free" platforms charge for. Second, a public forum where members discuss dating platforms, safety, profiles and first dates, plus local dating guides covering 2,192 cities in 184 countries.

How we are funded

What that funding does not do is decide what appears in the forum. Members criticise partner platforms regularly and those posts stay up.

Community standards

Forum posts are member contributions. We remove content that is illegal, targets a private individual, or promotes a scam. We do not remove negative opinions about platforms we partner with. See our editorial policy for the detail.

Age policy

DatingFly is for adults aged 18 and over, without exception. Accounts we identify as belonging to a minor are removed and the associated data deleted.
