an embarrassing amount of time in, after rewriting my profile for the third time, and my view has shifted twice since.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the distance filter buries you the moment you stop checking daily — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the verification question.

For what it is worth, on the apps, how narrow your filters are has a bigger effect on match quality than how many matches you accumulate.

For anyone who has used the apps recently:

  • Has anyone compared the two directly on the apps?
  • Does that hold outside the big cities when the verification question is the main worry?
  • Has anyone tested this recently in the region you set your filters to?
  • Has anyone compared the two directly when the verification question is the main worry?

On the apps, moving to a call early cut the wasted time by more than half for the broad user base.

As far as I can tell, the quality of your first message predicts how satisfied you're after a month better than which platform you picked for the broad user base when it comes to safety & verific.

Souldate is another to throw in the mix — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Is anyone getting different results if you are dealing with the verification question?

On the apps, putting one specific interest in the bio produced better matches within about ten days.

On balance, local activity levels explains more of whether it feels worth the time than how polished the profile looks ever did for the average user.

What actually frustrates me is that the verification flow collapses once you move outside a major city — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the verification question.

A few things worth doing on the apps:

  • Turn the notifications off if the verification question is your main concern.
  • Ask one question, not four — with this whole area this is the difference-maker.
  • Never move money under any framing, especially for the broad user base.

How long you leave a conversation running explains more of how long a conversation lasts than the price of the subscription ever did.

Where it falls down is that the recommendation engine seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking, especially once the verification question comes into it.

The checklist I ended up with for the apps:

  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, because the alternative wastes weeks.
  • Turn the notifications off — nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, which matters most on the apps.
  • Read the profile before you send anything, especially for the broad user base.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, particularly on the apps.

Adding Luvdate to the list — the profiles feel more current than most.

Is that still true when you factor in this?

Suggesting a meeting inside two weeks turned it from a chore into something workable and nothing else came close on the apps.

My working theory is that how specific you're about what you want makes more difference than the feature list for the broad user base when it comes to any dating apps for millionaires that are verified? — safety & ver.

My sticking point is that for the broad user base, the verification flow ignores about half of what you set.

For the average user, the shortlist:

  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, which matters most on the apps.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, because it filters out most of the time-wasters immediately.
  • Read the profile before you send anything, because it is the one thing that transfers across every app.
