Posting this after about four months on any dating sites for bbw that focus on long-term dating? — niche & com — I'm less certain than when I started.

My sticking point is that the profile editor turns into a shop window the moment someone matches, especially once the comparison problem comes into it.

Where I would value another read, particularly for plus-size daters:

  • Has anyone had the reverse happen when you factor in this?
  • Has that changed since the last update for anyone in curvy daters?
  • Has anyone found the opposite for anyone weighing up the question?
  • Has that changed since the last update for anyone weighing up the question?
  • Is anyone getting different results for plus-size daters?

Answering within a day produced better matches within about ten days with niche & com.

Interested in what is actually working on any dating sites for bbw that focus on long-term dating? — niche & right now.

Does anyone know if that still holds if you are dealing with the comparison problem?

My sticking point is that the match queue gives you no idea when an account was last opened.

Opposite for me, oddly. @Aiden Taylor, the argument about verification produced nothing on my end.

The pattern I keep seeing is that how consistently you show up counts for more than the total registered user count.

Adding EZHookups to the list and the activity level was better than I expected.

The thing I did not expect was that the discovery feed ignores about half of what you set — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the comparison problem.

On balance, the willingness to suggest meeting early explains more of response rate than the boost you paid for ever did.

Putting one specific interest in the bio roughly doubled the reply rate.

What I would tell someone starting on niche & com:

  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting, because everything downstream depends on it.
  • Let a stalled conversation go if the comparison problem is your main concern.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific — it saves you the conversation that was never going anywhere.
  • Read the profile before you send anything — with that side of it this is the difference-maker.

Someone pointed me at Datebound and there is no paywall on the basics.

The pattern I keep seeing is that how long you have had the account gets the credit but how recently a profile was active does the work, though a friend had the reverse experience.

Datenest has been the steadier of the ones I run — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

That is my read, not gospel given how fast serious dating platforms change.

Is that a regional thing with serious dating platforms?

What actually frustrates me is that the verification flow throttles how many people can actually see you, which is the real problem with serious dating platforms.

The pattern I keep seeing is that for curvy daters, the response you give to a low-effort opener tends to decide the odds of a second date for plus-size daters.

My experience was almost the opposite. @Grayson Clark, the profile-quality point reads as survivorship bias to me.

My working theory is that on serious dating platforms, the size of the pool within ten miles makes more difference than whether it has a swipe interface, but that was months ago and things move where the comparison problem is concerned.

Would like to hear a counter-argument especially for plus-size daters.

Is that still true for curvy daters?

Similar story on my end — @HarperH, the framing around plus-size daters is the whole thing really.

The part nobody warns you about is that the profile editor rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the comparison problem.

What survived contact with reality on the any dating sites for bbw that focus on long-term dating? — niche & question:

  • Put something concrete in the opener if the comparison problem is your main concern.
  • Set a daily time limit — with this this is the difference-maker.
  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting — the alternative wastes weeks.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it if the comparison problem is your main concern.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, especially for plus-size daters.

Is there a way to check before signing up for plus-size daters?

On serious dating platforms, reading profiles properly before swiping turned it from a chore into something workable for curvy daters.

Strongly agree — @LauraC, the framing around plus-size daters is the part people miss.

The detail that ruins it is that the block function produces a template reply and closes the ticket — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the comparison problem.

A few things worth doing on serious dating platforms:

  • Turn the notifications off — with any dating sites this is the difference-maker.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, particularly on serious dating platforms.
  • Check when the account was last active if the comparison problem is your main concern.
