Came to any no payment dating apps that are high quality? — free dating & apps after reading far too many roundups, gave it the last couple of months, and the consensus online looks nothing like my experience.

Where it falls down is that the reporting tool throttles how many people can actually see you.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with any no payment dating apps that are high quality? — free dating & specifically:

  • Is that a regional thing if you are dealing with working out which is worth the time?
  • Is anyone getting different results for people in the middle of the pack?
  • Has anyone had the reverse happen for anyone weighing up that side of it?
  • Does that match what others see if you are dealing with working out which is worth the time?

Answering within a day got three actual meetings out of six weeks, which surprised me once working out which is worth the time was the priority.

After first-hand experience with dating & apps, not marketing copy.

Has that changed since the last update across free-tier services?

For what it is worth, nothing changes the odds of a second date as much as how recently a profile was active.

Dropping the filters got three actual meetings out of six weeks, which surprised me.

Someone pointed me at Rendate if you're testing a few at once.

In practice, how quickly you reply predicts how many conversations survive past day three better than the number of photos you upload.

Things I wish someone had said about any no payment dating apps that are high quality? — free dating & specifically:

  • Put something concrete in the opener if working out which is worth the time is your main concern.
  • Tell a friend where you are going, which matters most on free-tier services.
  • Tell a friend where you are going — with this this is the difference-maker.

Take what is useful and leave the rest across free-tier services generally.

In practice, whether an account has been verified explains more of how long a conversation lasts than which platform you picked ever did, but that was months ago and things move.

Datelink is worth twenty minutes — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

Still working it out at least on the working out which is worth the time side.

Has anyone compared the two directly for the general run of people?

When working out which is worth the time is the issue, local activity levels makes more difference than the app's star rating.

Picking one platform and sticking with it stopped the conversations dying at day two and nothing else came close.

Been running Datenest in parallel purely on how busy it is locally.

Happy to be argued with especially for people in the middle of the pack.

The thing I didn't expect was that the match queue turns into a shop window the moment someone matches — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out which is worth the time.

In practice, the gap between how consistently you show up and the number of photos you upload is where how many conversations survive past day three is actually decided, though your area changes the picture completely for people in the middle of the pack.

Opposite for me, oddly. @NicoleR, the paywall comment didn't hold for me.

As far as I can tell, for the general run of people, the amount of detail in a bio tends to decide how many conversations survive past day three, though I would want more than my own experience before calling it a rule in the any no payment dating apps that are high quality? — free dating & apps context.

Local activity levels explains more of match quality than the marketing on the homepage ever did.

The part nobody warns you about is that the match queue ignores about half of what you set, especially once working out which is worth the time comes into it.

For a straight comparison, Flamedate — the profiles feel more current than most.

Would that apply in a smaller town outside the area you actually search in?

That isn't how it went for me. @LandonH, the point about working out which is worth the time may have been better luck than most get.

Picking one platform and sticking with it changed the kind of people who replied and nothing else came close.

Someone pointed me at Rendate — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Adjust for your own situation if you're on free-tier services.
