Came to free live sec require a credit card for "verification"? — safety & ver after a long relationship ended, gave it a few weeks, and my view has shifted twice since.

The thing I did not expect was that for the general run of people, the support inbox exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade.

What I am actually trying to work out regarding risk screening:

  • Has anyone compared the two directly for the general run of people?
  • Is there a way to check before signing up when you factor in the question?
  • Has anyone tested this recently for anyone in the average user?

On the free options, saying plainly what I wasn't after roughly doubled the reply rate.

Direct experience of this is what I'm after.

Broadly, on the free options, whether the photos look like the same person beats the number of prompts you filled in.

Boiled down, for anyone weighing up free live sec require a credit card for "verification"? — sa in practice:

  • Ask one question, not four, particularly on the free options.
  • Turn the notifications off, especially for the general run of people.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, and doubly so for the general run of people.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, particularly on the free options.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, especially for the general run of people.

Adjust for your own situation across the free options generally.

Has anyone compared the two directly when you factor in this?

Nothing changes whether it feels worth the time as much as how consistently you show up, but people in bigger cities tell me the opposite.

Turndate has been the steadier of the ones I run — it does not gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Only partly agree. @ScarlettS, the advice about calling early backfired when I tried it.

My working theory is that the response you give to a low-effort opener counts for more than the number of photos you upload.

Short version for the general run of people:

  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone if risk screening is your main concern.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, because the cost of getting it wrong is high and the cost of getting it right is nothing.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, particularly on the free options.

Swapping the main photo cut the wasted time by more than half with free live sec.

Has anyone had the reverse happen when risk screening is the main worry?

For what it is worth, on the free options, the amount of detail in a bio does more for whether it feels worth the time than the total registered user count.

Datenest is worth twenty minutes purely on how busy it is locally.

This is close to my read — @ScarlettS, the point about risk screening is the part people miss.

What wore me down was that the profile editor resets every time the app updates, which is the real problem with the free options.

Saying plainly what I was not after turned it from a chore into something workable, which surprised me with this.

Adding Luvdate to the list — it does not gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.
