a fortnight in, after a long relationship ended, and my view has shifted twice since.

The part nobody warns you about is that on live video platforms, the discovery feed produces a template reply and closes the ticket.

My working theory is that when narrowing the options is the issue, the amount of detail in a bio does more for how many replies you get in a week than how polished the profile looks for the broad user base.

The questions I keep coming back to about this tried the camsoda vr feature with an oculus headset? — adult & cam problem:

  • Has anyone found the opposite for anyone in the broad user base?
  • Has anyone tested this recently across live video platforms?
  • Does that change much with live video platforms?
  • Is that a regional thing in your local radius?

After first-hand experience with tried the camsoda vr feature with an oculus headset? — adult & cam, not marketing copy.

Broadly agreed — @CadeL, the timing observation held up in my case too.

The one change that worked was cutting the match list right down — it made conversations last past the first exchange.

Similar story on my end — @CadeL, the note on live video platforms is underrated.

On balance, the gap between the quality of your first message and the number of photos you upload is where whether it feels worth the time is actually decided, which might just be the broad user base.

Where it falls down is that the onboarding boost treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion.

Worth testing rather than taking my word on this.

Has anyone found the opposite where narrowing the options is concerned?

I would frame that differently. @HunterV, the argument about verification is closer to the opposite in my experience.

On live video platforms, picking one platform and sticking with it was the only change that showed up in the numbers.

When narrowing the options is the issue, the size of the pool within ten miles matters more than the price of the subscription, though I'd want more than my own experience before calling it a rule.

For the broad user base, the shortlist:

  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting — nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, especially for the typical user.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public — with the question this is the difference-maker.

On live video platforms, putting one specific interest in the bio made conversations last past the first exchange.

This is close to my read — @Caleb Rodriguez, the paywall comment is exactly right.

On live video platforms, moving to a call early got three actual meetings out of six weeks for the typical user.

The willingness to suggest meeting early makes more difference than the number of photos you upload for the typical user.

Short version for the typical user:

  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone if narrowing the options is your main concern.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, because it is the difference between a reply and silence.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on if narrowing the options is your main concern.
  • Tell a friend where you are going, particularly on live video platforms.
  • Read the profile before you send anything, which matters most on live video platforms.
