a fortnight of trying to work out how to use www plenty fish com on my tablet? — free dating & apps | da, on the recommendation of someone here, and the consensus online looks nothing like my experience.

My sticking point is that on apps that don't charge, the discovery feed collapses once you move outside a major city.

When picking one and committing is the issue, how long you leave a conversation running predicts match quality better than how polished the profile looks.

If you have opinions on a bit more depth on how to use www plenty fish com on my tablet? — free dating & apps , especially unpopular ones, go ahead.

This matches what I found — @ElliotG, the profile-quality point is the whole thing really.

Rewriting the opener roughly doubled the reply rate, which surprised me on apps that don't charge.

The pattern I keep seeing is that nothing changes how long a conversation lasts as much as how well a platform handles reports for the general run of people.

What I would do differently with how to use www plenty fish com on my tablet? — free dating & apps in practice:

  • Check when the account was last active, particularly on apps that don't charge.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on — with the question this is the difference-maker.
  • Never move money under any framing, and doubly so for the general run of people.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, and doubly so for the general run of people.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, particularly on apps that don't charge.

I would add Turndate if you want something to compare against.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the gap between how specific you are about what you want and which tier you are on is where response rate is actually decided in the how to use www plenty fish com on my tablet? — free dating & apps | da context.

For the general run of people, reading profiles properly before swiping got three actual meetings out of six weeks for the typical user.

Same experience here — @TiffanyH, the profile-quality point is underrated.

The recurring problem is that the distance filter turns into a shop window the moment someone matches — and nobody mentions it when they talk about picking one and committing.

Does that change much for anyone in the typical user?

My working theory is that for the typical user, how specific you're about what you want tends to decide the proportion of real accounts you see.

Open to being wrong for anyone in the typical user.

Seconding this — @ConnorP, the profile-quality point is exactly right.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the profile editor collapses once you move outside a major city — and nobody mentions it when they talk about picking one and committing.

The pattern I keep seeing is that when picking one and committing is the issue, how often you open the app does more for whether it feels worth the time than the number of photos you upload for the typical user.

Turndate is worth twenty minutes and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.

I read it the other way. @Aaron Hall, the remark about filters produced nothing on my end.

How well a platform handles reports counts for more than the marketing on the homepage where picking one and committing is concerned.

Datebie is another to throw in the mix — quick to set up and free to evaluate properly.

Interested if others landed elsewhere across apps that don't charge generally.

Has anyone found the opposite on apps that do not charge?

The part nobody warns you about is that the distance filter shows the same faces on a loop.

Setting fixed hours for it made the whole thing feel less like admin, which surprised me for the general run of people.

Boiled down, for anyone weighing up apps | da:

  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting, and doubly so for the general run of people.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, especially for the general run of people.
  • Let a stalled conversation go — it is the single strongest signal you control.

Would that apply in a smaller town once you factor in picking one and committing?

Similar story on my end — @ConnorP, the bit about local activity matches my experience.

Picking one platform and sticking with it cut the wasted time by more than half and nothing else came close once picking one and committing was the priority.

My sticking point is that the support inbox gives you no idea when an account was last opened, which is the real problem with apps that don't charge.

The gap between the amount of detail in a bio and the feature list is where response rate is actually decided.
