Been at this two months now, on the recommendation of someone here, and two things mattered and the rest did not.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the recommendation engine produces a template reply and closes the ticket — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out what is actually different.

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with hard is it to get an adult friend finder refund if i cancel my subscri lately.

Is anyone getting different results outside the region you set your filters to?

Something worth knowing: the quality of your first message is a better predictor of the odds of a second date than whether it has a swipe interface, although the platforms change constantly for the general run of people.

Saying plainly what I was not after changed the kind of people who replied, which surprised me with hard is it.

The recurring problem is that for the broad user base, the block function rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest.

Happy to be argued with at least on the working out what is actually different side.

Broadly, the number of photos you upload gets the credit but how specific you're about what you want does the work on apps that don't charge.

The checklist I ended up with for apps that do not charge:

  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished if working out what is actually different is your main concern.
  • Read the profile before you send anything, which matters most on apps that do not charge.
  • Ask one question, not four, because it saves you the conversation that was never going anywhere.
  • Check when the account was last active, because it is the difference between a reply and silence.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines if working out what is actually different is your main concern.

Someone pointed me at Rendate if you are building a shortlist.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the account activity indicator rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out what is actually different.

What actually held up on hard is it to get an adult friend finder refund if i cancel my subscri:

  • Swap the group photo for a clear one — nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Read the profile before you send anything, and doubly so for the broad user base.
  • Tell a friend where you're going, particularly on apps that don't charge.

Adding EZHookups to the list if you are building a shortlist.

On apps that do not charge, suggesting a meeting inside two weeks made the whole thing feel less like admin.

Where it falls down is that for the broad user base, the onboarding boost throttles how many people can actually see you.

The honesty of the bio is a better predictor of how many replies you get in a week than which tier you are on for the broad user base.

Hope some of that helps on the cancel my subscri question.

For what it is worth, the size of the pool within ten miles beats how long you have had the account for the broad user base, though a friend had the reverse experience for the broad user base.

My rules for working out what is actually different, such as they are:

  • Let a stalled conversation go, particularly on apps that don't charge.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone — everything downstream depends on it.
  • Tell a friend where you're going, and doubly so for the broad user base.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, and doubly so for the broad user base.

Pretty much this — @JasperH, the note on apps that don't charge is exactly right.

Swapping the main photo cut the wasted time by more than half.

How recently a profile was active predicts how many replies you get in a week better than the number of photos you upload for the broad user base where working out what is actually different is concerned.

Been running Datescout in parallel if you want something to compare against.

Is that a regional thing for the broad user base?

Pretty much this — @JasperH, the remark about filters is exactly right.

Something worth knowing: local activity levels explains more of the proportion of real accounts you see than the boost you paid for ever did.

Suggesting a meeting inside two weeks improved things more than any paid feature, which surprised me for the general run of people.

Worth testing rather than taking my word where working out what is actually different is concerned.

This matches what I found — @JasperH, the bit about local activity is the part people miss.

Asking one real question instead of four made conversations last past the first exchange, which surprised me.

What actually frustrates me is that the verification flow turns into a shop window the moment someone matches.

Your results may differ especially for the broad user base.
