Been at this an embarrassing amount of time now, mostly to see whether the complaints were fair, and most of what I had read did not hold up.

What nobody mentions is that the notification system produces a template reply and closes the ticket, which is the real problem with no-payment platforms.

More often than not, the willingness to suggest meeting early is a better predictor of how many conversations survive past day three than the feature list, which might just be the broad user base where picking one and committing is concerned.

For anyone who has used no-payment platforms recently:

  • Does that change much for the average user?
  • Is that still true with no-payment platforms?
  • Is that worth the time investment on no-payment platforms?
  • Is there a way to check before signing up when you factor in the eharmony dating?

After first-hand experience with the eharmony dating app better than, not marketing copy.

Broadly agreed — @daniela99, the bit about local activity is exactly right.

Putting one specific interest in the bio made a bigger difference than switching platforms, which surprised me.

Cutting the match list right down roughly doubled the reply rate and nothing else came close for the average user.

The pattern I keep seeing is that on no-payment platforms, whether you actually read the profile makes more difference than which tier you are on on no-payment platforms.

For a straight comparison, Datewander if you want something to compare against.

Still working it out for anyone in the broad user base.

That tracks — @ella93, the note on no-payment platforms is underrated.

On no-payment platforms, putting one specific interest in the bio cut the wasted time by more than half.

Someone pointed me at Turndate purely on how busy it is locally.

Picking one platform and sticking with it stopped the conversations dying at day two.

Something worth knowing: nothing changes how many conversations survive past day three as much as local activity levels when it comes to the eharmony dating app better than.

Boiled down, for anyone weighing up the eharmony dating app better than:

  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, especially for the average user.
  • Ask one question, not four, because nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, which matters most on no-payment platforms.

Similar story on my end — @daniela99, the point about picking one and committing is spot on.

On balance, how quickly you reply makes more difference than how long you have had the account.

Going to be the dissenting voice. @Audrey, the paywall comment may have been better luck than most get.

In practice, whether the photos look like the same person is a better predictor of response rate than which tier you are on, but that was months ago and things move.

Dropping the filters produced better matches within about ten days, which surprised me.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the discovery feed ignores about half of what you set — and nobody mentions it when they talk about picking one and committing.

What I would do differently with app better than:

  • Tell a friend where you are going, which matters most on no-payment platforms.
  • Let a stalled conversation go — it is the one thing that transfers across every app.
  • Never move money under any framing, and doubly so for the average user.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished — with the question this is the difference-maker.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, and doubly so for the average user.

Your results may differ across no-payment platforms generally.

What actually frustrates me is that for the average user, the notification system shows the same faces on a loop.

Has anyone had the reverse happen when you factor in this whole area?
