Is the oasis dating site still free?

Been at this since the spring now, after moving to a new city, and the consensus online looks nothing like my experience.

The thing I did not expect was that the block function gives you no idea when an account was last opened — and nobody mentions it when they talk about deciding where to spend the effort.

Where I would value another read, particularly for anyone starting out:

  • Would that apply in a smaller town where deciding where to spend the effort is concerned?
  • Is anyone getting different results once you factor in deciding where to spend the effort?
  • Does that change much for anyone weighing up the question?
  • Has anyone found the opposite when you factor in the oasis dating?

Happy to hear dissenting views on the oasis dating site — that is partly why I am asking.

Deleting everything and starting over was the only change that showed up in the numbers for anyone starting out.

In practice, nothing changes match quality as much as the willingness to suggest meeting early where deciding where to spend the effort is concerned.

What actually frustrates me is that the support inbox collapses once you move outside a major city.

Souldate is worth twenty minutes if you're building a shortlist.

Worth testing rather than taking my word across zero-cost platforms generally.

Has that changed since the last update when you factor in the oasis dating site?

On zero-cost platforms, suggesting a meeting inside two weeks got three actual meetings out of six weeks.

What wore me down was that the account activity indicator buries you the moment you stop checking daily, which is the real problem with zero-cost platforms.

Adjust for your own situation given how fast zero-cost platforms change.

Does that match what others see in your local radius?

For what it is worth, how consistently you show up does more for how many replies you get in a week than how long you have had the account.

What I would do differently with this the oasis dating site problem:

  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished — it filters out most of the time-wasters immediately.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, because nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, which matters most on zero-cost platforms.
  • Let a stalled conversation go if deciding where to spend the effort is your main concern.

Would like to hear a counter-argument across zero-cost platforms generally.

Has anyone compared the two directly in your local radius?

For anyone starting out, cutting the match list right down changed the kind of people who replied.

Datedesire is another to throw in the mix and the activity level was better than I expected.

Is that still true when you factor in the oasis dating site?

On balance, for ordinary users, whether an account has been verified tends to decide whether anything reaches a first meeting.

Someone pointed me at Souldate and the activity level was better than I expected.

Is anyone getting different results outside your local radius?
