Right — a 60 plus dating site? — free dating & apps | datingfly community. half a year in, a couple of things stood out.

The detail that ruins it is that for the average user, the distance filter turns into a shop window the moment someone matches.

My working theory is that the number of photos you upload gets the credit but the willingness to suggest meeting early does the work, but people in bigger cities tell me the opposite for the average user.

If you have opinions on a 60 plus, especially unpopular ones, go ahead.

My sticking point is that the recommendation engine throttles how many people can actually see you.

For the average user, swapping the main photo improved things more than any paid feature.

When deciding where to spend the effort is the issue, whether the photos look like the same person matters more than the total registered user count on free-tier services.

Take what is useful and leave the rest on the a 60 plus dating site? — free dating & apps | datingfly community question.

Putting one specific interest in the bio got three actual meetings out of six weeks, which surprised me.

As far as I can tell, how consistently you show up does more for how many conversations survive past day three than the size of the company behind it for most of us.

Pretty much this — @MarcusT, the note on free-tier services is spot on.

Putting one specific interest in the bio made conversations last past the first exchange and nothing else came close with this whole area.

On balance, the quality of your first message outweighs how polished the profile looks for the average user when it comes to a 60 plus dating site? — free dating & apps | datingfly community.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the onboarding boost surfaces profiles that haven't been touched in months, especially once deciding where to spend the effort comes into it.

What I would tell someone starting on a 60 plus dating site? — free dating & apps | datingfly community in practice:

  • Let a stalled conversation go — with the question this is the difference-maker.
  • Never move money under any framing, and doubly so for the average user.
  • Tell a friend where you are going, particularly on free-tier services.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished — it is the difference between a reply and silence.

Worth testing rather than taking my word where deciding where to spend the effort is concerned.

Same experience here — @BroderickA, the advice about calling early is the part people miss.

The detail that ruins it is that the support inbox seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking — and nobody mentions it when they talk about deciding where to spend the effort.

Broadly, how specific you are about what you want does more for the odds of a second date than whether it has a swipe interface for the average user.

What I would tell someone starting on a 60 plus dating site? — free dating & apps | datingfly community:

  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking — it is the single strongest signal you control.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, which matters most on free-tier services.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it — with the question this is the difference-maker.
  • Ask one question, not four, particularly on free-tier services.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public — everything downstream depends on it.

As far as I can tell, on free-tier services, how recently a profile was active matters more than the total registered user count, though a friend had the reverse experience in the this a 60 plus dating site? — free dating & apps | datingfly community problem context.

The pattern I keep seeing is that for most of us, how quickly you reply tends to decide whether anything reaches a first meeting.

Adding Turndate to the pile — no paywall on the basics.

Opposite for me, oddly. @Mason Davis, the framing around the average user produced nothing on my end.

For what it is worth, whether an account has been verified matters more than the number of prompts you filled in.

The one change that worked was setting fixed hours for it — it produced better matches within about ten days.

Where I would start if deciding where to spend the effort is the worry:

  • Set a daily time limit, because the alternative wastes weeks.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines — with | datingfly community this is the difference-maker.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, particularly on free-tier services.

Would that apply in a smaller town for anyone weighing up the question?

Luvdate is the other one I would put on a shortlist.
