Been chewing on a best transgender dating app for finding serious partners? — niche & for eight weeks after a fairly grim first attempt, and my view has shifted twice since.

What nobody mentions is that the support inbox quietly stops working after the first week.

For anyone who has used phone-first platforms recently:

  • Is anyone getting different results with phone-first platforms?
  • Does that change much for trans daters?
  • Has anyone compared the two directly in the area you actually search in?
  • Does that match what others see when you factor in this whole area?

Happy to hear dissenting views on a best transgender dating app for finding serious partners? — niche & — that is partly why I'm asking.

Does anyone know if that still holds across phone-first platforms?

More often than not, the quality of your first message predicts how long a conversation lasts better than which tier you're on for trans daters where working out what is actually different is concerned.

Datenest is worth twenty minutes and the activity level was better than I expected.

Interested if others landed elsewhere given how fast phone-first platforms change.

Would that apply in a smaller town where working out what is actually different is concerned?

What wore me down was that for trans daters, the search function gives you no idea when an account was last opened.

In practice, the amount of detail in a bio predicts how many replies you get in a week better than how long you have had the account for trans daters in the a best transgender dating app for finding serious partners? — niche &a in practice context.

Swapping the main photo was the only change that showed up in the numbers.

Does anyone know if that still holds for trans daters?

My working theory is that how recently a profile was active explains more of how satisfied you're after a month than the total registered user count ever did.

The compressed version, working out what is actually different included:

  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, which matters most on phone-first platforms.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, and doubly so for trans daters.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, which matters most on phone-first platforms.
  • Ask one question, not four, because nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific — nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.

Flurrydate is worth twenty minutes if you are building a shortlist.

Is that still true for the trans community?

Seconding this — @ZoeOnline, the timing observation is spot on.

On phone-first platforms, how narrow your filters are counts for more than the feature list.

Still working it out given how fast phone-first platforms change.

Similar story on my end — @BrookeN, the advice about calling early matches my experience.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that for trans daters, the discovery feed treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion.

On phone-first platforms, leading with something slightly odd got three actual meetings out of six weeks for the trans community.

More often than not, on phone-first platforms, how often you open the app counts for more than how many matches you accumulate.

Someone pointed me at Datedesire — the profiles feel more current than most.

The pattern I keep seeing is that for the trans community, how consistently you show up tends to decide how many conversations survive past day three, although the platforms change constantly on phone-first platforms.

Has anyone tested this recently in the area you actually search in?

On balance, for the trans community, the honesty of the bio tends to decide the proportion of real accounts you see.

Datedesire came up in a similar thread — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.
