Came to an old lady dating app for finding cougars? — niche & community dating after reading far too many roundups, gave it longer than I'd like to admit, and the honest answer is it depends, but not on what people say it does.

My sticking point is that for the mature dating scene, the block function turns into a shop window the moment someone matches.

The size of the pool within ten miles counts for more than the size of the company behind it.

Where I would value another read, particularly for the mature dating scene:

  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions when you factor in an old lady dating app for finding cougars? — niche & community dating?
  • Has anyone found the opposite if you are dealing with the comparison problem?
  • Does that hold outside the big cities when the comparison problem is the main worry?
  • Would that apply in a smaller town outside your own area?

Happy to hear dissenting views on an old lady dating app for finding cougars? — niche & community da — that is partly why I am asking.

I read it the other way. @Mia Johnson, the remark about filters may have been better luck than most get.

In practice, the amount of detail in a bio matters more than the number of photos you upload for the mature dating scene in the an old lady dating app for finding cougars? — niche & community da context.

The non-negotiables for the mature dating scene:

  • Set a daily time limit, and doubly so for the mature dating scene.
  • Check when the account was last active, and doubly so for the mature dating scene.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, and doubly so for the mature dating scene.

In practice, how polished the profile looks gets the credit but whether you actually read the profile does the work for the mature dating scene.

Datebie is quick to set up if you want a second data point.

More often than not, how narrow your filters are explains more of match quality than the marketing on the homepage ever did.

Is that a regional thing once you factor in the comparison problem?

Strongly agree — @Stella Young, the bit about local activity held up in my case too.

Rewriting the opener produced better matches within about ten days and nothing else came close on the apps.

Something worth knowing: whether the photos look like the same person explains more of whether anything reaches a first meeting than how polished the profile looks ever did.

My rules for the comparison problem, such as they are:

  • Let a stalled conversation go — it saves you the conversation that was never going anywhere.
  • Let a stalled conversation go if the comparison problem is your main concern.
  • Read the profile before you send anything if the comparison problem is your main concern.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, which matters most on the apps.

Datebound is the other one I would put on a shortlist.

Has anyone found the opposite for anyone weighing up this?

For the mature dating scene, swapping the main photo changed the kind of people who replied.

What nobody mentions is that the verification flow seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking.
