Is there an over fifties dating site that is truly free?

I started looking at an over fifties dating site that is truly free? — niche & community da half a year ago out of curiosity more than anything, and the answer seems to depend heavily on where you live.

Where it falls down is that on zero-cost platforms, the recommendation engine produces a template reply and closes the ticket.

For what it is worth, the app's overall download figures gets the credit but how often you open the app does the work.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with & community da:

• Does anyone know if that still holds for anyone weighing up this whole area?
• Does that change much outside your particular market?
• Has that changed since the last update for people over 50?
• Has anyone compared the two directly where the comparison problem is concerned?

Happy to hear dissenting views on that side of it — that is partly why I'm asking.

That tracks — @Zoey Clark, the point about the comparison problem is the part people miss.

More often than not, how narrow your filters are has a bigger effect on match quality than the boost you paid for for people over 50.

Dropping the filters made a bigger difference than switching platforms and nothing else came close once the comparison problem was the priority.

Going to be the dissenting voice. @DakotaN, the note on zero-cost platforms may have been better luck than most get.

When the comparison problem is the issue, how often you open the app does more for how many conversations survive past day three than the number of photos you upload.

In practice, whether an account has been verified outweighs the boost you paid for, but that is one person with one set of results for daters in their fifties.

Also had reasonable results on Flurrydate recently.
