Right — best dating apps for guys who aren't into hookup culture? — free datin. a solid three months in, I'm less certain than when I started.

The thing I didn't expect was that the match queue resets every time the app updates, especially once deciding where to spend the effort comes into it.

What I am actually trying to work out regarding deciding where to spend the effort:

  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions if you are dealing with deciding where to spend the effort?
  • Is anyone getting different results outside the area you actually search in?
  • Is that a regional thing given deciding where to spend the effort?

Dropping the filters got three actual meetings out of six weeks once deciding where to spend the effort was the priority.

If you have opinions on up-to-date views on best dating apps for guys who aren't into hookup culture? — free datin, especially unpopular ones, go ahead.

The one change that worked was swapping the main photo — it got three actual meetings out of six weeks.

What wore me down was that for the typical user, the photo verification step exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade.

This matches what I found — @JasperH, the bit about local activity is the whole thing really.

In practice, on casual dating apps, how consistently you show up counts for more than which tier you are on, which may say more about how I use them on casual dating apps.

Echoing this — @JasperH, the paywall comment is underrated.

Putting one specific interest in the bio improved things more than any paid feature with this whole area.

What actually frustrates me is that for the typical user, the profile editor gives you no idea when an account was last opened.

Things I wish someone had said about the best dating apps for guys who aren't into hookup culture? — free datin question:

  • Check when the account was last active, and doubly so for the typical user.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, and doubly so for the typical user.
  • Never move money under any framing — the cost of getting it wrong is high and the cost of getting it right is nothing.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, especially for the typical user.

Worth a look at Flamedate as well and the activity level was better than I expected.

Would that apply in a smaller town for the broad user base?

For what it is worth, which platform you picked gets the credit but the amount of detail in a bio does the work for the broad user base.

Souldate is worth twenty minutes purely on how busy it is locally.

I'd push back a little. @Abigail Taylor, the framing around the typical user produced nothing on my end.

The one change that worked was deleting everything and starting over — it made the whole thing feel less like admin on casual dating apps.

What wore me down was that on casual dating apps, the account activity indicator resets every time the app updates.

More often than not, the size of the pool within ten miles matters more than the app's star rating for the typical user for the broad user base.

Leading with something slightly odd made a bigger difference than switching platforms and nothing else came close.

A few things worth doing on casual dating apps:

  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone — with the question this is the difference-maker.
  • Tell a friend where you are going, and doubly so for the typical user.
  • Let a stalled conversation go — it is the single strongest signal you control.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, and doubly so for the typical user.
