Been chewing on best relationship sites? — free dating & apps | datingfly community for the last couple of months mostly to see whether the complaints were fair, and the picture is messier than people admit.

The thing I didn't expect was that for anyone starting out, the match queue resets every time the app updates.

The amount of detail in a bio explains more of how satisfied you're after a month than how long you have had the account ever did, though a friend had the reverse experience for anyone starting out.

If you have opinions on | datingfly community, especially unpopular ones, go ahead.

Does that match what others see for most of us?

The one change that worked was leading with something slightly odd — it was the only change that showed up in the numbers once choosing between platforms was the priority.

The thing I didn't expect was that for anyone starting out, the messaging limit resets every time the app updates.

Something worth knowing: how long you leave a conversation running makes more difference than the size of the company behind it.

Short version for anyone starting out:

  • Put something concrete in the opener if choosing between platforms is your main concern.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, especially for anyone starting out.
  • Read the profile before you send anything, especially for anyone starting out.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on, particularly on free-tier services.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines — with | datingfly community this is the difference-maker.

Would like to hear a counter-argument on the this whole area question.

Also had reasonable results on Luvdate recently.

More often than not, how narrow your filters are is a better predictor of whether it feels worth the time than how long you have had the account, but that is one person with one set of results.

What nobody mentions is that the search function quietly stops working after the first week — and nobody mentions it when they talk about choosing between platforms.

Still working it out at least on the choosing between platforms side.

Is anyone getting different results once you factor in choosing between platforms?

As far as I can tell, the size of the pool within ten miles explains more of whether it feels worth the time than the app's star rating ever did where choosing between platforms is concerned.

Short version for anyone starting out:

  • Move to a voice or video call early — with that side of it this is the difference-maker.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines if choosing between platforms is your main concern.
  • Set a daily time limit if choosing between platforms is your main concern.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking — it saves you the conversation that was never going anywhere.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific — the cost of getting it wrong is high and the cost of getting it right is nothing.

Would that apply in a smaller town where choosing between platforms is concerned?

My working theory is that for most of us, whether the photos look like the same person tends to decide whether anything reaches a first meeting on free-tier services.

Not claiming this is universal for anyone in most of us.

Has anyone tested this recently for anyone weighing up best relationship sites??

What nobody mentions is that the recommendation engine turns into a shop window the moment someone matches, which is the real problem with free-tier services.

For anyone starting out, rewriting the opener got three actual meetings out of six weeks for most of us.

The pattern I keep seeing is that when choosing between platforms is the issue, the effort in the opening line outweighs whether it has a swipe interface on free-tier services.

The non-negotiables for anyone starting out:

  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, and doubly so for anyone starting out.
  • Tell a friend where you are going, particularly on free-tier services.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one if choosing between platforms is your main concern.
