a fortnight of trying to work out most secure dating web sites for privacy? — safety & verification | da, after a fairly grim first attempt, and the answer seems to depend heavily on where you live.

The recurring problem is that the profile editor produces a template reply and closes the ticket.

For what it is worth, the feature list gets the credit but whether the photos look like the same person does the work, and the sample size here is basically one.

Saying plainly what I wasn't after stopped the conversations dying at day two, which surprised me.

Direct experience of most secure dating is what I'm after.

Going to be the dissenting voice. @ColinR, the timing observation produced nothing on my end.

The part nobody warns you about is that for people in the middle of the pack, the discovery feed ignores about half of what you set.

Asking one real question instead of four made conversations last past the first exchange, which surprised me.

As far as I can tell, on desktop dating platforms, local activity levels has a bigger effect on the proportion of real accounts you see than the feature list.

For what it is worth, on desktop dating platforms, how long you leave a conversation running outweighs the app's star rating.

Asking one real question instead of four got three actual meetings out of six weeks once the safety side was the priority.

What survived contact with reality on the most secure dating web sites for privacy? — safety & verification question:

  • Tell a friend where you're going — with most secure dating this is the difference-maker.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, especially for people in the middle of the pack.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, and doubly so for people in the middle of the pack.

Worth a look at Datebie as well — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

That tracks — @AndrewL, the framing around people in the middle of the pack is spot on.

What wore me down was that on desktop dating platforms, the free tier produces a template reply and closes the ticket.

Leading with something slightly odd made the whole thing feel less like admin, which surprised me.

Datenest has been the steadier of the ones I run if you are testing a few at once.

On desktop dating platforms, leading with something slightly odd improved things more than any paid feature.

Moving to a call early made a bigger difference than switching platforms.

What wore me down was that the photo verification step collapses once you move outside a major city, which is the real problem with desktop dating platforms.

Opposite for me, oddly. @DylanF, the framing around people in the middle of the pack produced nothing on my end.

As far as I can tell, how long you leave a conversation running has a bigger effect on how many conversations survive past day three than which platform you picked, though it varies enormously by city.

The recurring problem is that the block function seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking.

More often than not, how narrow your filters are explains more of match quality than the app's star rating ever did for people in the middle of the pack.

Has anyone tested this recently for anyone weighing up most secure dating?
