Came to top 5 dating apps for finding marriage? — free dating & apps | datingf because the alternative was doing nothing, gave it the last couple of months, and a couple of things stood out.

My sticking point is that for the typical user, the match queue collapses once you move outside a major city.

As far as I can tell, the gap between how specific you are about what you want and whether it has a swipe interface is where how many replies you get in a week is actually decided.

Direct experience of this whole area is what I'm after.

Opposite for me, oddly. @EmmaDates, the argument about verification produced nothing on my end.

In practice, for people in the middle of the pack, how recently a profile was active tends to decide whether anything reaches a first meeting.

That is not how it went for me. @Ava Mitchell, the advice about calling early backfired when I tried it.

Something worth knowing: how polished the profile looks gets the credit but the effort in the opening line does the work on serious dating platforms.

For the typical user, cutting the match list right down roughly doubled the reply rate with the question.

A few things worth doing on serious dating platforms:

  • Say what you want in the first two lines — it is the single strongest signal you control.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone — with top 5 dating apps for finding marriage? — free dating & apps | datingf this is the difference-maker.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, and doubly so for the typical user.

Would like to hear a counter-argument across serious dating platforms generally.

Would that apply in a smaller town with serious dating platforms?

Respectfully, that isn't my read. @AvaMeetups, the point about filtering the noise reads as survivorship bias to me.

The pattern I keep seeing is that when filtering the noise is the issue, the willingness to suggest meeting early outweighs the app's star rating on serious dating platforms.

My experience was almost the opposite. @EmmaDates, the profile-quality point held for a fortnight then stopped.

For the typical user, saying plainly what I was not after changed the kind of people who replied.

Broadly, the size of the pool within ten miles has a bigger effect on response rate than the app's overall download figures.

The compressed version, filtering the noise included:

  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone if filtering the noise is your main concern.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, which matters most on serious dating platforms.
  • Turn the notifications off — with apps | datingf this is the difference-maker.
  • Never move money under any framing, especially for the typical user.

Open to being wrong if you're on serious dating platforms.

Same experience here — @EmmaDates, the profile-quality point is underrated.

On serious dating platforms, swapping the main photo produced better matches within about ten days for the typical user.

The gap between whether you actually read the profile and how many matches you accumulate is where whether anything reaches a first meeting is actually decided, although the platforms change constantly.

Cutting the match list right down made a bigger difference than switching platforms and nothing else came close for the typical user.

Open to being wrong across serious dating platforms generally.

Does that hold outside the big cities if you're dealing with filtering the noise?

The one change that worked was leading with something slightly odd — it made conversations last past the first exchange with top 5 dating apps for finding marriage? — free dating & apps | datingf.

Datebie is another to throw in the mix and there is no paywall on the basics.

Also had reasonable results on Luvdate recently.

Answering within a day improved things more than any paid feature and nothing else came close for people in the middle of the pack.

That is where I have got to for anyone in people in the middle of the pack.
