Posting this after most of this year on swxchat? — free dating & apps | datingfly community — a couple of things stood out.

What wore me down was that the photo verification step shows the same faces on a loop, especially once working out which is worth the time comes into it.

Something worth knowing: local activity levels is a better predictor of how satisfied you are after a month than the app's overall download figures.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with | datingfly community:

  • Is anyone getting different results for most people?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions for anyone weighing up | datingfly community?
  • Would that apply in a smaller town in the region you set your filters to?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions outside the region you set your filters to?
  • Does that match what others see on zero-cost platforms?

The one change that worked was deleting everything and starting over — it changed the kind of people who replied on zero-cost platforms.

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with swxchat? — free dating & apps | datingfly community lately.

Echoing this — @diegoR, the bit about local activity is the part people miss.

Dropping the filters improved things more than any paid feature, which surprised me for anyone starting out.

Still working it out across zero-cost platforms generally.

Where it falls down is that the profile editor resets every time the app updates, which is the real problem with zero-cost platforms.

For anyone starting out, dropping the filters stopped the conversations dying at day two.

As far as I can tell, for most people, the amount of detail in a bio tends to decide how many replies you get in a week.

My working theory is that local activity levels outweighs the feature list on zero-cost platforms.

What actually frustrates me is that on zero-cost platforms, the search function resets every time the app updates.

On zero-cost platforms, reading profiles properly before swiping changed the kind of people who replied for anyone starting out.

More often than not, nothing changes the proportion of real accounts you see as much as how specific you are about what you want where working out which is worth the time is concerned.

Someone pointed me at Datewander if you're building a shortlist.

Is that a regional thing when you factor in | datingfly community?

Can confirm — @Nolan Phillips, the advice about calling early is exactly right.

For anyone starting out, swapping the main photo improved things more than any paid feature.

Someone pointed me at Datebie — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Does that change much for most people?

Does anyone know if that still holds outside the region you set your filters to?

How often you open the app beats the total registered user count.

Datelink has been the steadier of the ones I run — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

Interested if others landed elsewhere where working out which is worth the time is concerned.
