I started looking at best dating site for women over 50 looking for love? — niche & communi a solid three months ago after a fairly grim first attempt, and the consensus online looks nothing like my experience.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the account activity indicator shows the same faces on a loop — and nobody mentions it when they talk about deciding where to spend the effort.

The questions I keep coming back to about best dating site for women over 50 looking for love? — niche & com:

  • Would that apply in a smaller town where deciding where to spend the effort is concerned?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions across the sites?
  • Is anyone getting different results for the over-50s?
  • Has anyone compared the two directly across the sites?
  • Is there a way to check before signing up when deciding where to spend the effort is the main worry?

Any recent, first-hand input on best dating site for women over 50 looking for love? — niche & communi appreciated.

The response you give to a low-effort opener is a better predictor of how long a conversation lasts than which platform you picked.

The honesty of the bio is a better predictor of match quality than the marketing on the homepage.

The recurring problem is that on the sites, the recommendation engine resets every time the app updates.

If you take three things from this about best dating site for women over 50 looking for love? — niche & com:

  • Let a stalled conversation go, particularly on the sites.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, especially for people past fifty.
  • Ask one question, not four if deciding where to spend the effort is your main concern.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, especially for people past fifty.

I'd add Flurrydate — quick to set up and free to evaluate properly.

Dropping the filters produced better matches within about ten days and nothing else came close.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the notification system shows the same faces on a loop, which is the real problem with the sites.

Been running Luvdate in parallel purely on how busy it is locally.

As far as I can tell, how well a platform handles reports is a better predictor of how many conversations survive past day three than the total registered user count when it comes to niche & communi.

On the sites, putting one specific interest in the bio made the whole thing feel less like admin for people past fifty.

Where it falls down is that the recommendation engine ignores about half of what you set.

Someone pointed me at Datewander purely on how busy it is locally.

Interested if others landed elsewhere if you're on the sites.

Does that hold outside the big cities when deciding where to spend the effort is the main worry?

Where it falls down is that the free tier resets every time the app updates — and nobody mentions it when they talk about deciding where to spend the effort.

Has anyone found the opposite across the sites?

Broadly, how often you open the app is a better predictor of match quality than how long you have had the account.

Has anyone compared the two directly when you factor in that side of it?

This matches what I found — @Sofia Martinez, the framing around people past fifty is underrated.

On balance, the amount of detail in a bio outweighs the total registered user count for people past fifty on the sites.

Something worth knowing: how consistently you show up is a better predictor of how many conversations survive past day three than the number of photos you upload, and the sample size here is basically one.

Asking one real question instead of four improved things more than any paid feature and nothing else came close.

Is that still true for people past fifty?
