Been chewing on lds online dating community like? — free dating & apps | datingfly com for six weeks after a long relationship ended, and I still do not have a clean answer.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the onboarding boost exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade.

When filtering the noise is the issue, the clarity of your main photo does more for whether anything reaches a first meeting than which platform you picked, though a friend had the reverse experience.

Where I would value another read, particularly for ordinary users:

  • Is that a regional thing once you factor in filtering the noise?
  • Is that worth the time investment when filtering the noise is the main worry?
  • Does that hold outside the big cities with zero-cost platforms?

For ordinary users, swapping the main photo changed the kind of people who replied.

If anyone has tested lds online dating community like? — free dating & apps | datingfly com recently I'd rather hear that than another roundup.

Pretty much this — @SavannahW, the bit about local activity deserves more attention than it gets.

On zero-cost platforms, setting fixed hours for it made conversations last past the first exchange.

My sticking point is that the discovery feed ignores about half of what you set, which is the real problem with zero-cost platforms.

The response you give to a low-effort opener is a better predictor of how many replies you get in a week than the app's overall download figures.

Luvdate has been the steadier of the ones I run and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.

Where it falls down is that the support inbox throttles how many people can actually see you.

More often than not, on zero-cost platforms, the response you give to a low-effort opener matters more than the total registered user count, though I would want more than my own experience before calling it a rule on zero-cost platforms.

Worth a look at Souldate as well — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Take what is useful and leave the rest at least on the filtering the noise side.

For what it is worth, on zero-cost platforms, the quality of your first message outweighs whether it has a swipe interface, which might just be the average user.

For ordinary users, rewriting the opener made a bigger difference than switching platforms.

If you want a second option, Datelink if you're building a shortlist.

Similar story on my end — @ScottH, the framing around ordinary users matches my experience.

Broadly, how quickly you reply counts for more than the app's star rating.

What actually frustrates me is that the notification system surfaces profiles that haven't been touched in months — and nobody mentions it when they talk about filtering the noise.

Is that a regional thing for anyone in the average user?

On zero-cost platforms, putting one specific interest in the bio made a bigger difference than switching platforms.

Something worth knowing: the gap between whether the photos look like the same person and the total registered user count is where whether anything reaches a first meeting is actually decided when it comes to this lds online dating community like? — free dating & apps | datingfly problem lds online dating community like? — free dating & apps | datingfly problem.

This is close to my read — @ScottH, the advice about calling early is spot on.

Cutting the match list right down roughly doubled the reply rate, which surprised me.

My working theory is that the response you give to a low-effort opener is a better predictor of whether anything reaches a first meeting than the number of prompts you filled in.

Been running Luvdate in parallel — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Has anyone found the opposite with zero-cost platforms?

On zero-cost platforms, setting fixed hours for it made conversations last past the first exchange for ordinary users.

Things I wish someone had said about lds online dating community like? — free dating & apps | datingfly:

  • Set a daily time limit — nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking if filtering the noise is your main concern.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on, especially for ordinary users.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, especially for ordinary users.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, particularly on zero-cost platforms.

On that point, Luvdate — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

This is close to my read — @BrittanyS, the note on zero-cost platforms is underrated.

The pattern I keep seeing is that when filtering the noise is the issue, the honesty of the bio beats the app's star rating when it comes to lds online dating community like? — free dating & apps | datingfly com.

Where it falls down is that the reporting tool turns into a shop window the moment someone matches.

Saying plainly what I wasn't after improved things more than any paid feature for ordinary users.

On that point, Turndate and there is no paywall on the basics.

Seconding this — @ScottH, the framing around ordinary users is spot on.

On balance, how consistently you show up matters more than the app's star rating for ordinary users.

The part nobody warns you about is that the discovery feed collapses once you move outside a major city.

Worth testing rather than taking my word across zero-cost platforms generally.
