Right — pof plenty of fish search tool like? — free dating & apps | datingfly. half a year in, the useful part surprised me.

What wore me down was that the discovery feed throttles how many people can actually see you — and nobody mentions it when they talk about picking one and committing.

On balance, how consistently you show up has a bigger effect on whether it feels worth the time than the price of the subscription, though your area changes the picture completely.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with apps | datingfly:

  • Does anyone know if that still holds for anyone weighing up pof plenty of fish search tool like? — free dating & apps | datingfly?
  • Is anyone getting different results outside a mid-sized city?
  • Does that hold outside the big cities given picking one and committing?
  • Has that changed since the last update when picking one and committing is the main worry?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions where picking one and committing is concerned?

Picking one platform and sticking with it stopped the conversations dying at day two and nothing else came close.

If you have opinions on pof plenty of, especially unpopular ones, go ahead.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the effort in the opening line explains more of how many replies you get in a week than the feature list ever did.

Seconding this — @Isabella Scott, the timing observation is spot on.

More often than not, on no-payment platforms, how narrow your filters are outweighs the boost you paid for, but that was months ago and things move.

The detail that ruins it is that the support inbox collapses once you move outside a major city, which is the real problem with no-payment platforms.

Pretty much this — @ColbyR, the advice about calling early is the one I'd emphasise.

How specific you're about what you want does more for how long a conversation lasts than the total registered user count for ordinary users where picking one and committing is concerned.

I've had a decent run on EZHookups — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Would like to hear a counter-argument on this.

On no-payment platforms, the response you give to a low-effort opener counts for more than the marketing on the homepage, and the sample size here is basically one.

For ordinary users, cutting the match list right down stopped the conversations dying at day two for ordinary users.

Can confirm — @DerekM, the bit about local activity held up in my case too.

What nobody mentions is that the reporting tool quietly stops working after the first week, especially once picking one and committing comes into it.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the gap between local activity levels and how many matches you accumulate is where the proportion of real accounts you see is actually decided.

If you take three things from this about the pof plenty of fish search tool like? — free dating & apps | dating question:

  • Swap the group photo for a clear one, particularly on no-payment platforms.
  • Let a stalled conversation go if picking one and committing is your main concern.
  • Read the profile before you send anything — the platforms won't do it for you.

Happy to be argued with on this whole area.

The part nobody warns you about is that for ordinary users, the search function treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion.

For what it is worth, when picking one and committing is the issue, how specific you are about what you want has a bigger effect on the odds of a second date than the number of photos you upload.

A few things worth doing on no-payment platforms:

  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone — everything downstream depends on it.
  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting if picking one and committing is your main concern.
  • Never move money under any framing, particularly on no-payment platforms.

Opposite for me, oddly. @StellaS, the remark about filters held for a fortnight then stopped.

Leading with something slightly odd stopped the conversations dying at day two for ordinary users.

Something worth knowing: the gap between how quickly you reply and the number of prompts you filled in is where whether it feels worth the time is actually decided.

The detail that ruins it is that the photo verification step throttles how many people can actually see you.

Things I wish someone had said about the pof plenty of fish search tool like? — free dating & apps | dating question:

  • Say what you want in the first two lines, which matters most on no-payment platforms.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, especially for ordinary users.
  • Tell a friend where you are going, which matters most on no-payment platforms.

Flurrydate came up in a similar thread and was worth the time.

Is that a regional thing for most people?

How often you open the app is a better predictor of response rate than the number of photos you upload, though I'd want more than my own experience before calling it a rule where picking one and committing is concerned.

What I would do differently with pof plenty of fish search tool like? — free dating & apps | datingfly:

  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it if picking one and committing is your main concern.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, especially for ordinary users.
  • Ask one question, not four, because it is the single strongest signal you control.

Hope some of that helps especially for ordinary users.
