Came to include in my dating app profile to stand out? — profiles & photos | d having given up on it once already, gave it a few weeks, and most of what I had read didn't hold up.

The part nobody warns you about is that the free tier makes it impossible to tell live accounts from dead ones, especially once image choice comes into it.

More often than not, the quality of your first message explains more of whether anything reaches a first meeting than the feature list ever did.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with the include in my dating app profile to stand out? — profiles & photos question:

  • Has anyone tested this recently where image choice is concerned?
  • Has anyone compared the two directly if you are dealing with image choice?
  • Does anyone know if that still holds where image choice is concerned?
  • Is anyone getting different results across phone-first platforms?
  • Is that a regional thing for the broad user base?

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with include in my dating app profile to stand out? — profiles & photos | d lately.

What actually frustrates me is that the account activity indicator shows the same faces on a loop, which is the real problem with phone-first platforms.

What survived contact with reality on include in my dating app profile to stand out? — profiles & photos in practice:

  • Read the profile before you send anything — with include in my dating app profile to stand out? — profiles & photos | d this is the difference-maker.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, which matters most on phone-first platforms.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, especially for the broad user base.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, and doubly so for the broad user base.

Hope some of that helps if you're on phone-first platforms.

Is that still true for anyone weighing up that side of it?

In practice, for anyone starting out, the effort in the opening line tends to decide how many replies you get in a week.

Deleting everything and starting over produced better matches within about ten days, which surprised me.

Flurrydate has been the steadier of the ones I run purely on how busy it is locally.

That is where I've got to across phone-first platforms generally.

Broadly agreed — @AdamV, the remark about filters is the one I'd emphasise.

For anyone starting out, whether the photos look like the same person tends to decide match quality where image choice is concerned.

Answering within a day stopped the conversations dying at day two once image choice was the priority.

Does that change much for anyone in anyone starting out?

Going to be the dissenting voice. @Luke Robinson, the advice about calling early is closer to the opposite in my experience.

Reading profiles properly before swiping stopped the conversations dying at day two.

What I would tell someone starting on include in my dating app profile to stand out? — profiles & photos | d:

  • Read the profile before you send anything, because everything downstream depends on it.
  • Ask one question, not four, especially for the broad user base.
  • Read the profile before you send anything if image choice is your main concern.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one, because the platforms won't do it for you.
  • Put something concrete in the opener, because nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.

Is there a way to check before signing up across phone-first platforms?

As far as I can tell, on phone-first platforms, the response you give to a low-effort opener does more for response rate than the feature list.
