Posting this after longer than I would like to admit on best place to meet muslim singles for serious marriage? — niche & comm — most of what I had read did not hold up.

The recurring problem is that the messaging limit gives you no idea when an account was last opened, especially once choosing between platforms comes into it.

Where I would value another read, particularly for practising Muslims:

  • Is there a way to check before signing up for Muslim singles?
  • Has anyone tested this recently given choosing between platforms?
  • Is anyone getting different results outside your own area?

For practising Muslims, picking one platform and sticking with it improved things more than any paid feature.

That tracks — @AndrewL, the note on relationship-focused platforms is the one I would emphasise.

The part nobody warns you about is that the block function turns into a shop window the moment someone matches — and nobody mentions it when they talk about choosing between platforms.

Boiled down, for anyone weighing up best place to:

  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting, because everything downstream depends on it.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, especially for practising Muslims.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines if choosing between platforms is your main concern.

Flamedate is worth twenty minutes if you are building a shortlist.

Happy to be argued with across relationship-focused platforms generally.

On balance, the honesty of the bio predicts whether anything reaches a first meeting better than the boost you paid for on relationship-focused platforms.

That is my read, not gospel especially for practising Muslims.

Is that a regional thing for anyone weighing up this?

The pattern I keep seeing is that the feature list gets the credit but the amount of detail in a bio does the work where choosing between platforms is concerned.

Does that change much for anyone weighing up best place to?

For what it is worth, the quality of your first message is a better predictor of whether it feels worth the time than how polished the profile looks.

Saying plainly what I was not after cut the wasted time by more than half and nothing else came close.

Still working it out on the best place to meet muslim singles for serious marriage? — niche & comm question.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that for practising Muslims, the account activity indicator turns into a shop window the moment someone matches.

As far as I can tell, on relationship-focused platforms, how consistently you show up beats the number of photos you upload in the niche & comm context.

Try Luvdate alongside whatever else you are testing if you want something to compare against.
