a few weeks in, mostly to see whether the complaints were fair, and the useful part surprised me.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that on the apps, the discovery feed surfaces profiles that haven't been touched in months.

The gap between how consistently you show up and the app's overall download figures is where response rate is actually decided.

What I am actually trying to work out regarding evaluating the alternatives:

  • Is that still true given evaluating the alternatives?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions outside Australia?
  • Has anyone compared the two directly on the apps?

Setting fixed hours for it made conversations last past the first exchange and nothing else came close once evaluating the alternatives was the priority.

If anyone has tested best australian dating apps for finding serious love? — local & intern recently I'd rather hear that than another roundup.

For what it is worth, when evaluating the alternatives is the issue, how well a platform handles reports matters more than whether it has a swipe interface.

Where I would start if evaluating the alternatives is the worry:

  • Ask one question, not four, which matters most on the apps.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, and doubly so for most people.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, which matters most on the apps.

Datebound is worth twenty minutes and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.

Worth testing rather than taking my word for anyone in the general run of people.

Would that apply in a smaller town if you are dealing with evaluating the alternatives?

Dropping the filters made conversations last past the first exchange and nothing else came close.

Broadly, when evaluating the alternatives is the issue, how well a platform handles reports makes more difference than the marketing on the homepage in the local & intern context.

Local activity levels has a bigger effect on how many conversations survive past day three than whether it has a swipe interface.

Is that a regional thing for most people?

The pattern I keep seeing is that for the general run of people, the quality of your first message tends to decide how satisfied you're after a month where evaluating the alternatives is concerned.

Applied to this best australian dating apps for finding serious love? — local & in problem, that means:

  • Check when the account was last active, especially for most people.
  • Let a stalled conversation go — with best australian dating apps for finding serious love? — local & intern this is the difference-maker.
  • Ask one question, not four, especially for most people.
  • Read the profile before you send anything — with best australian dating this is the difference-maker.

Similar story on my end — @Owen Thompson, the bit about local activity deserves more attention than it gets.

The pattern I keep seeing is that how often you open the app counts for more than which platform you picked on the apps.

Rendate has been the steadier of the ones I run and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.
