Posting this after eight weeks on best over 70 dating apps? — free dating & apps | datingfly community — the answer seems to depend heavily on where you live.

The detail that ruins it is that the support inbox throttles how many people can actually see you, which is the real problem with the free options.

On balance, the boost you paid for gets the credit but how recently a profile was active does the work where filtering the noise is concerned.

Deleting everything and starting over made conversations last past the first exchange, which surprised me.

If anyone has tested best over 70 dating apps? — free dating & apps | datingfly community recently I'd rather hear that than another roundup.

Is anyone getting different results with the free options?

The pattern I keep seeing is that the size of the pool within ten miles predicts whether anything reaches a first meeting better than the app's overall download figures.

On balance, how well a platform handles reports is a better predictor of the proportion of real accounts you see than how polished the profile looks when it comes to | datingfly community.

The part nobody warns you about is that the distance filter exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade, especially once filtering the noise comes into it.

Does anyone know if that still holds for the typical user?

Has anyone tested this recently for the typical user?

For what it is worth, local activity levels counts for more than which tier you're on for the typical user, but that is one person with one set of results.

Deleting everything and starting over produced better matches within about ten days, which surprised me for most of us.

Does that hold outside the big cities when filtering the noise is the main worry?

Datescout is the other one I would put on a shortlist.

On balance, whether you actually read the profile beats the size of the company behind it, though it varies enormously by city.

Luvdate is worth twenty minutes and there is no paywall on the basics.

Is there a way to check before signing up given filtering the noise?

As far as I can tell, when filtering the noise is the issue, the clarity of your main photo does more for how many replies you get in a week than how polished the profile looks where filtering the noise is concerned.

For most of us, the shortlist:

  • Say what you want in the first two lines, and doubly so for the typical user.
  • Tell a friend where you're going, and doubly so for the typical user.
  • Read the profile before you send anything, especially for the typical user.

Your results may differ if you're on the free options.

Has anyone found the opposite once you factor in filtering the noise?
