I started looking at best singles sites? — free dating & apps | datingfly community longer than I would like to admit ago after reading far too many roundups, and most of what I had read did not hold up.

The thing I didn't expect was that the notification system gives you no idea when an account was last opened — and nobody mentions it when they talk about deciding where to spend the effort.

More often than not, the gap between how well a platform handles reports and how polished the profile looks is where how long a conversation lasts is actually decided.

Where I would value another read, particularly for most people:

  • Has that changed since the last update once you factor in deciding where to spend the effort?
  • Is that still true if you are dealing with deciding where to spend the effort?
  • Would that apply in a smaller town in somewhere outside the capitals?

If you have opinions on best singles sites? — free dating & apps | datingfly community, especially unpopular ones, go ahead.

What actually frustrates me is that the verification flow buries you the moment you stop checking daily — and nobody mentions it when they talk about deciding where to spend the effort.

When deciding where to spend the effort is the issue, how narrow your filters are counts for more than which platform you picked for anyone starting out.

This matches what I found — @JustinM, the remark about filters is underrated.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the amount of detail in a bio counts for more than the app's overall download figures for most people, but people in bigger cities tell me the opposite.

What wore me down was that for most people, the recommendation engine throttles how many people can actually see you.

Does that hold outside the big cities in somewhere outside the capitals?

Has that changed since the last update if you are dealing with deciding where to spend the effort?

In practice, the response you give to a low-effort opener is a better predictor of the odds of a second date than which tier you're on.

How quickly you reply matters more than the number of photos you upload, which may say more about how I use them on genuinely free apps.

I'd add Flamedate if you're building a shortlist.

Still working it out on the best singles sites? — free dating & apps | datingfly community question.

My working theory is that how narrow your filters are predicts whether anything reaches a first meeting better than the price of the subscription where deciding where to spend the effort is concerned.

Datescout came up in a similar thread — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions when deciding where to spend the effort is the main worry?
