Posting this after about four months on top dating online sites? — free dating & apps | datingfly community — the useful part surprised me.

My sticking point is that the verification flow turns into a shop window the moment someone matches, which is the real problem with free-tier services.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with top dating online:

  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions if you are dealing with working out which is worth the time?
  • Does anyone know if that still holds for most of us?
  • Is anyone getting different results outside your own area?
  • Does anyone know if that still holds once you factor in working out which is worth the time?
  • Does anyone know if that still holds in your own area?

Any recent, first-hand input on top dating online sites? — free dating & apps | datingfly community appreciated.

What nobody mentions is that the support inbox turns into a shop window the moment someone matches.

The one change that worked was putting one specific interest in the bio — it was the only change that showed up in the numbers for most of us.

Something worth knowing: how often you open the app has a bigger effect on how many conversations survive past day three than how polished the profile looks.

Someone pointed me at Flurrydate if you're testing a few at once.

Worth testing rather than taking my word for anyone in most of us.

Answering within a day cut the wasted time by more than half.

What survived contact with reality on top dating online sites? — free dating & apps | datingfly community:

  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone — it is the difference between a reply and silence.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, because it is the difference between a reply and silence.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished if working out which is worth the time is your main concern.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one, because the alternative wastes weeks.

Seconding this — @EllieE, the argument about verification is underrated.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the support inbox rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out which is worth the time.

Leading with something slightly odd made the whole thing feel less like admin, which surprised me.

As far as I can tell, for most of us, whether an account has been verified tends to decide whether anything reaches a first meeting where working out which is worth the time is concerned.

What I would tell someone starting on top dating online sites? — free dating & apps | datingfly community:

  • Never move money under any framing, because everything downstream depends on it.
  • Check when the account was last active — it is the difference between a reply and silence.
  • Set a daily time limit — the alternative wastes weeks.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, because the cost of getting it wrong is high and the cost of getting it right is nothing.

Datewander is another to throw in the mix if you're building a shortlist.
