Privacy policy
This policy explains what data DatingFly collects, why, how long we keep it, and how you can have it removed.
What we collect
- Account data — the email address, display name, age confirmation and profile details you provide.
- Content you post — profile text, photos, messages and forum posts.
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed. This is used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate analytics.
- Approximate location — only the city-level location you set, used to show you nearby matches. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates.
What we do with it
To operate the service, show relevant matches, prevent abuse and fraud, respond to reports, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and analytics
We use functional cookies to keep you signed in, and aggregate analytics to understand how the site is used. Analytics data is not used to identify individuals.
How long we keep data
Account data is kept while your account is active. On deletion, profile data and messages are removed. Limited records may be retained where required for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your account and data, a portable copy, or restriction of processing. Depending on where you live these rights may be granted under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, the CCPA or comparable local law. Requests go through the contact page.
Children
DatingFly is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we identify such an account it is removed and the data deleted.
