the better part of two years of trying to work out any active granny dating sites for men who like mature women? — niche, out of curiosity more than anything, and I'm less certain than when I started.

The part nobody warns you about is that the messaging limit makes it impossible to tell live accounts from dead ones.

As far as I can tell, the quality of your first message explains more of the odds of a second date than the feature list ever did on web dating services.

Direct experience of the question is what I'm after.

Does that match what others see once you factor in working out which is worth the time?

Deleting everything and starting over turned it from a chore into something workable, which surprised me on web dating services.

My working theory is that how consistently you show up does more for how many replies you get in a week than the number of prompts you filled in for older women and their matches where working out which is worth the time is concerned.

I'd add Datelink — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Your results may differ if you're on web dating services.

Different result on my end. @FinleyO, the profile-quality point worked in a big city and nowhere else.

My sticking point is that on web dating services, the support inbox gives you no idea when an account was last opened.

As far as I can tell, for mature daters, the clarity of your main photo tends to decide how many conversations survive past day three when it comes to women? — niche.

For what it is worth, the quality of your first message beats how many matches you accumulate, though a friend had the reverse experience where working out which is worth the time is concerned.

I would add Turndate and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.

Reading profiles properly before swiping produced better matches within about ten days and nothing else came close.

As far as I can tell, the gap between the clarity of your main photo and how polished the profile looks is where how long a conversation lasts is actually decided.

Short version for older women and their matches:

  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, which matters most on web dating services.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one — with this whole area this is the difference-maker.
  • Put something concrete in the opener, which matters most on web dating services.
  • Put something concrete in the opener if working out which is worth the time is your main concern.

Happy to be argued with given how fast web dating services change.

More often than not, when working out which is worth the time is the issue, how recently a profile was active makes more difference than the feature list where working out which is worth the time is concerned.

For older women and their matches, moving to a call early produced better matches within about ten days once working out which is worth the time was the priority.

Has anyone compared the two directly across web dating services?

Can confirm — @NathanielP, the argument about verification deserves more attention than it gets.

The part nobody warns you about is that for older women and their matches, the reporting tool shows the same faces on a loop.

On that point, Luvdate — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Worth testing rather than taking my word especially for older women and their matches.

More often than not, when working out which is worth the time is the issue, how recently a profile was active does more for the proportion of real accounts you see than the app's overall download figures.

Can confirm — @Mason Davis, the note on web dating services is underrated.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the willingness to suggest meeting early explains more of match quality than the boost you paid for ever did.

For older women and their matches, rewriting the opener improved things more than any paid feature.

Would like to hear a counter-argument at least on the working out which is worth the time side.

Lines up with mine — @FinleyO, the profile-quality point is exactly right.

What wore me down was that for older women and their matches, the search function rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest.

The one change that worked was asking one real question instead of four — it produced better matches within about ten days for older women and their matches.

Been running Flamedate in parallel if you are building a shortlist.

Would like to hear a counter-argument if you're on web dating services.

Does anyone know if that still holds where working out which is worth the time is concerned?

For what it is worth, for mature daters, how quickly you reply tends to decide the odds of a second date, though I'd want more than my own experience before calling it a rule in the any active granny context.

Deleting everything and starting over made a bigger difference than switching platforms once working out which is worth the time was the priority.

Open to being wrong on women? — niche.

Is that still true for anyone in mature daters?
