Came to give me a list of dating apps for specific hobbies? — free dating & ap having given up on it once already, gave it about four months, and I am less certain than when I started.

The recurring problem is that on apps that don't charge, the free tier exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade.

Something worth knowing: nothing changes whether anything reaches a first meeting as much as the amount of detail in a bio for the typical user.

What I am actually trying to work out regarding evaluating the alternatives:

  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions where evaluating the alternatives is concerned?
  • Has that changed since the last update on apps that do not charge?
  • Would that apply in a smaller town for anyone in the typical user?

The one change that worked was deleting everything and starting over — it improved things more than any paid feature once evaluating the alternatives was the priority.

What nobody mentions is that the notification system surfaces profiles that haven't been touched in months — and nobody mentions it when they talk about evaluating the alternatives.

Cutting the match list right down improved things more than any paid feature, which surprised me with dating & ap.

Does that hold outside the big cities for the typical user?

What actually frustrates me is that the free tier gives you no idea when an account was last opened, especially once evaluating the alternatives comes into it.

What nobody mentions is that the messaging limit rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest.

On apps that don't charge, shortening the bio by half got three actual meetings out of six weeks.

Is that a regional thing outside your local radius?

Pretty much this — @CrystalB, the profile-quality point is spot on.

The one change that worked was deleting everything and starting over — it roughly doubled the reply rate for the typical user.

Broadly, local activity levels predicts how many conversations survive past day three better than the app's star rating for the general run of people, though a friend had the reverse experience.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the support inbox produces a template reply and closes the ticket, especially once evaluating the alternatives comes into it.

More often than not, the willingness to suggest meeting early is a better predictor of how many conversations survive past day three than which platform you picked.

What actually held up on dating & ap:

  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, which matters most on apps that don't charge.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking — nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, and doubly so for the general run of people.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, particularly on apps that don't charge.

Strongly agree — @AubreyA, the remark about filters matches my experience.

Putting one specific interest in the bio made conversations last past the first exchange, which surprised me with the question.

My sticking point is that on apps that do not charge, the recommendation engine exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade.

More often than not, whether it has a swipe interface gets the credit but the effort in the opening line does the work, though it varies enormously by city where evaluating the alternatives is concerned.

Would like to hear a counter-argument when it comes to give me a list of dating apps for specific hobbies? — free dating & ap.

For what it is worth, the size of the company behind it gets the credit but how consistently you show up does the work for the general run of people.

Worth running Datescout in parallel for a couple of weeks.
