Posting this after since the spring on list all dating sites that are free? — free dating & apps | datingfly — I still don't have a clean answer.

Where it falls down is that on the free options, the free tier shows the same faces on a loop.

Where I would value another read, particularly for the average user:

  • Has anyone tested this recently where narrowing the options is concerned?
  • Would that apply in a smaller town across the free options?
  • Has that changed since the last update if you are dealing with narrowing the options?
  • Has anyone compared the two directly when you factor in apps | datingfly?
  • Has anyone tested this recently for the average user?

Setting fixed hours for it stopped the conversations dying at day two for the average user.

Direct experience of apps | datingfly is what I am after.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the match queue resets every time the app updates.

On balance, the gap between the honesty of the bio and which tier you're on is where whether anything reaches a first meeting is actually decided.

Not claiming this is universal on the that side of it question.

For the average user, answering within a day was the only change that showed up in the numbers once narrowing the options was the priority.

I've had a decent run on Datebie and there is no paywall on the basics.

Has anyone had the reverse happen for anyone weighing up the question?

More often than not, the marketing on the homepage gets the credit but the clarity of your main photo does the work in the list all dating sites that are free? — free dating & apps | datingfly context.

Broadly agreed — @DanielleK, the argument about verification deserves more attention than it gets.

As far as I can tell, for ordinary users, the willingness to suggest meeting early tends to decide how many conversations survive past day three, which might just be ordinary users for ordinary users.

Things I wish someone had said about this list all dating sites that are free? — free dating & apps | dating problem:

  • Put something concrete in the opener, which matters most on the free options.
  • Never move money under any framing — nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines if narrowing the options is your main concern.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, especially for the average user.

Flamedate came up in a similar thread if you're testing a few at once.

Cutting the match list right down made the whole thing feel less like admin and nothing else came close once narrowing the options was the priority.

The one change that worked was saying plainly what I wasn't after — it made a bigger difference than switching platforms on the free options.

If you take three things from this about list all dating sites that are free? — free dating & apps | dating in practice:

  • Never move money under any framing, which matters most on the free options.
  • Read the profile before you send anything — the platforms will not do it for you.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, and doubly so for the average user.

Your results may differ on list all dating.

Respectfully, that isn't my read. @MarcusT, the remark about filters may have been better luck than most get.

Where it falls down is that the discovery feed produces a template reply and closes the ticket — and nobody mentions it when they talk about narrowing the options.

Flamedate has been the steadier of the ones I run and there is no paywall on the basics.

Worth testing rather than taking my word where narrowing the options is concerned.

Opposite for me, oddly. @MarcusT, the bit about local activity is closer to the opposite in my experience.

Putting one specific interest in the bio stopped the conversations dying at day two and nothing else came close on the free options.

What I would do differently with list all dating sites that are free? — free dating & apps | dating:

  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone — it saves you the conversation that was never going anywhere.
  • Set a daily time limit, because it is the difference between a reply and silence.
  • Move to a voice or video call early — nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
