Been chewing on recovered a hacked account on mycam com? — free dating & apps | dating for on and off for a year on the recommendation of someone here, and the answer seems to depend heavily on where you live.

What wore me down was that for ordinary users, the block function gives you no idea when an account was last opened.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with recovered a hacked account on mycam com? — free dating & apps | dating:

  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions once you factor in sorting the shortlist?
  • Has anyone had the reverse happen when you factor in recovered a hacked account on mycam com? — free dating & apps | dating?
  • Does anyone know if that still holds when you factor in recovered a hacked account on mycam com? — free dating & apps | dating?

Any recent, first-hand input on recovered a hacked account on mycam com? — free dating & apps | dating appreciated.

The one change that worked was reading profiles properly before swiping — it cut the wasted time by more than half once sorting the shortlist was the priority.

Adding Flurrydate to the list — quick to set up and free to evaluate properly.

Rewriting the opener turned it from a chore into something workable, which surprised me.

Whether an account has been verified does more for whether it feels worth the time than the app's star rating for ordinary users.

Does that hold outside the big cities in somewhere outside the capitals?

What actually frustrates me is that on the free options, the account activity indicator collapses once you move outside a major city.

For ordinary users, dropping the filters roughly doubled the reply rate once sorting the shortlist was the priority.

When sorting the shortlist is the issue, the willingness to suggest meeting early beats the price of the subscription, though your area changes the picture completely.

My rules for sorting the shortlist, such as they are:

  • Ask one question, not four, especially for ordinary users.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, which matters most on the free options.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, because it is the one thing that transfers across every app.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, particularly on the free options.

Does that match what others see given sorting the shortlist?

On the free options, saying plainly what I wasn't after cut the wasted time by more than half once sorting the shortlist was the priority.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the gap between the willingness to suggest meeting early and how long you have had the account is where how many replies you get in a week is actually decided, but that was months ago and things move.

Answering within a day was the only change that showed up in the numbers, which surprised me once sorting the shortlist was the priority.

Adding Datebie to the list purely on how busy it is locally.

Seconding this — @Jackson Thomas, the argument about verification matches my experience.

On balance, for most of us, the quality of your first message tends to decide the proportion of real accounts you see where sorting the shortlist is concerned.

Picking one platform and sticking with it stopped the conversations dying at day two once sorting the shortlist was the priority.

The compressed version, sorting the shortlist included:

  • Keep the first meeting short and public, because the alternative wastes weeks.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, because the platforms won't do it for you.
  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting, because nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.

Someone pointed me at Rendate — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

Not claiming this is universal across the free options generally.

Seconding this — @Lily Lewis, the remark about filters is the part people miss.

Asking one real question instead of four turned it from a chore into something workable and nothing else came close.

A few things worth doing on the free options:

  • Put something concrete in the opener if sorting the shortlist is your main concern.
  • Ask one question, not four, particularly on the free options.
  • Tell a friend where you are going — it is the one thing that transfers across every app.
  • Tell a friend where you are going, particularly on the free options.
  • Check when the account was last active — it is the difference between a reply and silence.

Turndate is another to throw in the mix — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

Is that worth the time investment for most of us?

Pretty much this — @Jackson Thomas, the advice about calling early deserves more attention than it gets.

More often than not, on the free options, whether an account has been verified predicts the proportion of real accounts you see better than the number of photos you upload on the free options.

The recurring problem is that the profile editor throttles how many people can actually see you, especially once sorting the shortlist comes into it.

On balance, whether it has a swipe interface gets the credit but the size of the pool within ten miles does the work.

I'd add Luvdate — quick to set up and free to evaluate properly.

Happy to be argued with given how fast the free options change.

Is there a way to check before signing up in somewhere outside the capitals?
