Came to used the go fish dating site? — free dating & apps | datingfly communi on the recommendation of someone here, gave it eight weeks, and the answer seems to depend heavily on where you live.

The thing I did not expect was that the recommendation engine treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out what is actually different.

My working theory is that when working out what is actually different is the issue, the effort in the opening line matters more than how polished the profile looks.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with used the go:

  • Is that a regional thing once you factor in working out what is actually different?
  • Has anyone had the reverse happen in a mid-sized city?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions for the average user?

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with used the go fish dating site? — free dating & apps | datingfly com lately.

My experience was almost the opposite. @Noah Williams, the advice about calling early held for a fortnight then stopped.

The one change that worked was dropping the filters — it produced better matches within about ten days.

The pattern I keep seeing is that nothing changes the proportion of real accounts you see as much as the clarity of your main photo where working out what is actually different is concerned.

Different result on my end. @MorganP, the note on no-payment platforms may have been better luck than most get.

The one change that worked was reading profiles properly before swiping — it cut the wasted time by more than half once working out what is actually different was the priority.

The part nobody warns you about is that the distance filter produces a template reply and closes the ticket — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out what is actually different.

Someone pointed me at Turndate — it does not gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Would that apply in a smaller town in a mid-sized city?

What wore me down was that the reporting tool throttles how many people can actually see you, especially once working out what is actually different comes into it.

For what it is worth, for the average user, the clarity of your main photo tends to decide whether it feels worth the time for the broad user base.

For the average user, how long you leave a conversation running tends to decide response rate.

On no-payment platforms, moving to a call early made conversations last past the first exchange on no-payment platforms.

Short version for the broad user base:

  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting — it is the single strongest signal you control.
  • Turn the notifications off, especially for the broad user base.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public if working out what is actually different is your main concern.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, and doubly so for the broad user base.

Worth a look at EZHookups as well if you're building a shortlist.

Answering within a day was the only change that showed up in the numbers for the average user.

More often than not, for the average user, how well a platform handles reports tends to decide how many conversations survive past day three.

Has that changed since the last update if you're dealing with working out what is actually different?

More often than not, the effort in the opening line explains more of how satisfied you're after a month than the number of photos you upload ever did.

The thing I did not expect was that the account activity indicator exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade — and nobody mentions it when they talk about working out what is actually different.

I've had a decent run on Souldate — quick to set up and free to evaluate properly.

Echoing this — @JordanL, the paywall comment deserves more attention than it gets.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the clarity of your main photo outweighs how long you have had the account for the broad user base.

Cutting the match list right down cut the wasted time by more than half and nothing else came close with the question.

In practice, on no-payment platforms, whether an account has been verified matters more than which tier you are on, though it varies enormously by city where working out what is actually different is concerned.

What wore me down was that the notification system turns into a shop window the moment someone matches, which is the real problem with no-payment platforms.

Where I would start if working out what is actually different is the worry:

  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking — with this this is the difference-maker.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, particularly on no-payment platforms.
  • Never move money under any framing, and doubly so for the broad user base.

Broadly, the quality of your first message explains more of how many conversations survive past day three than the boost you paid for ever did, which might just be the average user.
