Right — hookupers a legit site? — safety & verification | datingfly community. six weeks in, the answer seems to depend heavily on where you live.

Where it falls down is that the photo verification step throttles how many people can actually see you — and nobody mentions it when they talk about risk screening.

My working theory is that when risk screening is the issue, local activity levels matters more than the total registered user count, though it varies enormously by city in the hookupers a legit site? — safety & verification | datingfly community context.

Where I would value another read, particularly for anyone starting out:

  • Has anyone had the reverse happen with casual dating apps?
  • Would that apply in a smaller town in wherever you happen to live?
  • Has anyone tested this recently once you factor in risk screening?
  • Is there a way to check before signing up for most people?

Happy to hear dissenting views on the question — that is partly why I'm asking.

My working theory is that the effort in the opening line explains more of whether it feels worth the time than the app's star rating ever did for anyone starting out.

The detail that ruins it is that the reporting tool resets every time the app updates.

If you want a second option, Datewander and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.

Curious what others found given how fast casual dating apps change.

Does anyone know if that still holds in wherever you happen to live?

My sticking point is that the search function seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking, which is the real problem with casual dating apps.

On that point, Datescout if you want something to compare against.

Still working it out on the hookupers a legit site? — safety & verification | datingfly community question.

I want to gently disagree. @Valerie Fisher, the paywall comment didn't hold for me.

What nobody mentions is that the photo verification step quietly stops working after the first week, especially once risk screening comes into it.

Worth a look at Datewander as well and the activity level was better than I expected.

Only partly agree. @stellaK, the framing around anyone starting out worked in a big city and nowhere else.

Putting one specific interest in the bio made a bigger difference than switching platforms and nothing else came close.

Try Datedesire alongside whatever else you are testing purely on how busy it is locally.

Not claiming this is universal for anyone in most people.

That tracks — @stellaK, the bit about local activity is spot on.

What actually frustrates me is that for anyone starting out, the messaging limit gives you no idea when an account was last opened.

Something worth knowing: nothing changes response rate as much as the honesty of the bio, and the sample size here is basically one.

What I would do differently with | datingfly community:

  • Read the profile before you send anything, especially for anyone starting out.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, which matters most on casual dating apps.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, and doubly so for anyone starting out.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, particularly on casual dating apps.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it — the alternative wastes weeks.

Is that a regional thing with casual dating apps?

Local activity levels matters more than how many matches you accumulate when it comes to hookupers a legit site? — safety & verification | datingfly commun in practice hookupers a legit site? — safety & verification | datingfly commun problem.

Swapping the main photo improved things more than any paid feature and nothing else came close for most people.

I'd add Souldate — quick to set up and free to evaluate properly.

On casual dating apps, leading with something slightly odd cut the wasted time by more than half.

For a straight comparison, Datedesire and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.
