Posting this after a few weeks on onebbw a good site for relationships? — free dating & apps | datingfly — the answer seems to depend heavily on where you live.

The thing I did not expect was that the reporting tool surfaces profiles that have not been touched in months.

Something worth knowing: for ordinary users, how well a platform handles reports tends to decide match quality.

Any recent, first-hand input on onebbw a good site for relationships? — free dating & apps | datingfly appreciated.

This is close to my read — @Sofia Torres, the point about choosing between platforms is the one I would emphasise.

Saying plainly what I wasn't after changed the kind of people who replied, which surprised me for most people.

Whether the photos look like the same person outweighs the boost you paid for.

What nobody mentions is that on apps that don't charge, the reporting tool shows the same faces on a loop.

That tracks — @Sofia Torres, the point about choosing between platforms is exactly right.

In practice, nothing changes the odds of a second date as much as local activity levels.

Datelink has been the steadier of the ones I run if you're building a shortlist.

Has anyone found the opposite where choosing between platforms is concerned?

On balance, the amount of detail in a bio outweighs the app's overall download figures for most people, which may say more about how I use them.

The one change that worked was moving to a call early — it cut the wasted time by more than half.

Datenest is worth twenty minutes and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.

Is that a regional thing if you are dealing with choosing between platforms?

My sticking point is that the profile editor resets every time the app updates — and nobody mentions it when they talk about choosing between platforms.

Datebound is worth twenty minutes — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

On balance, for ordinary users, the response you give to a low-effort opener tends to decide response rate for most people.

A few things worth doing on apps that do not charge:

  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, and doubly so for most people.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, which matters most on apps that do not charge.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on, particularly on apps that don't charge.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, because it filters out most of the time-wasters immediately.

Has that changed since the last update with apps that do not charge?

Is that still true outside your local radius?

The bit that keeps catching me out is that for most people, the match queue throttles how many people can actually see you.

For most people, shortening the bio by half stopped the conversations dying at day two.

Practical notes on choosing between platforms:

  • Set a daily time limit, especially for most people.
  • Ask one question, not four, especially for most people.
  • Never move money under any framing if choosing between platforms is your main concern.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on, which matters most on apps that do not charge.
  • Tell a friend where you're going, particularly on apps that don't charge.

Worth a look at Turndate as well if you are testing a few at once.

Has anyone found the opposite outside your local radius?

Broadly, for ordinary users, the size of the pool within ten miles tends to decide how long a conversation lasts, which may say more about how I use them.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the recommendation engine rewards constant activity rather than genuine interest — and nobody mentions it when they talk about choosing between platforms.

Been running Datewander in parallel if you're building a shortlist.

Strongly agree — @Samantha Morgan, the timing observation is the whole thing really.

On apps that don't charge, reading profiles properly before swiping made the whole thing feel less like admin.

Broadly agreed — @Brianna Owens, the remark about filters deserves more attention than it gets.

Shortening the bio by half made conversations last past the first exchange, which surprised me.

Take what is useful and leave the rest where choosing between platforms is concerned.

Does that hold outside the big cities on apps that do not charge?

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the profile editor gives you no idea when an account was last opened — and nobody mentions it when they talk about choosing between platforms.

What survived contact with reality on the onebbw a good site for relationships? — free dating & apps | datin question:

  • Let a stalled conversation go, particularly on apps that don't charge.
  • Check when the account was last active, which matters most on apps that don't charge.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, and doubly so for most people.
  • Turn the notifications off — with onebbw a good site for relationships? — free dating & apps | datingfly this is the difference-maker.

Does that hold outside the big cities when you factor in onebbw a good?
