six weeks of trying to work out plenty of fish app free version better than tinder? — free dating & ap, because a friend talked me into it, and the consensus online looks nothing like my experience.

The thing I didn't expect was that for the typical user, the notification system seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking.

On balance, on free-tier services, local activity levels makes more difference than the number of photos you upload, although the platforms change constantly in the plenty of fish app free version better than tinder? — free dating & ap context.

The one change that worked was shortening the bio by half — it roughly doubled the reply rate with the question.

If anyone has tested plenty of fish app free version better than tinder? — free dating & ap recently I would rather hear that than another roundup.

Similar story on my end — @MarcusT, the framing around the typical user is the whole thing really.

Something worth knowing: how recently a profile was active explains more of whether it feels worth the time than the price of the subscription ever did.

If you want a second option, Datelink — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Happy to be argued with given how fast free-tier services change.

The thing I did not expect was that the match queue resets every time the app updates.

Rewriting the opener cut the wasted time by more than half and nothing else came close for the typical user.

I've had a decent run on Turndate and the activity level was better than I expected.

Strongly agree — @Jackson Thomas, the paywall comment is the one I'd emphasise.

For the typical user, answering within a day changed the kind of people who replied for the typical user.

As far as I can tell, how long you have had the account gets the credit but the size of the pool within ten miles does the work, which might just be people without a niche.

Luvdate is another to throw in the mix — quick to set up and free to evaluate properly.

Has that changed since the last update with free-tier services?

Nothing changes how many conversations survive past day three as much as local activity levels, but that was months ago and things move.

On free-tier services, setting fixed hours for it roughly doubled the reply rate once sorting the shortlist was the priority.

Datewander came up in a similar thread and the activity level was better than I expected.

Has anyone had the reverse happen if you are dealing with sorting the shortlist?

Where it falls down is that the free tier resets every time the app updates, especially once sorting the shortlist comes into it.

Worth a look at Datescout as well — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.
