I started looking at a gamer dating app for geeks? — niche & community dating | datingfly c eight weeks ago after a long relationship ended, and I still do not have a clean answer.

My sticking point is that for shared-interest daters, the onboarding boost exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade.

On swipe apps, how narrow your filters are does more for response rate than how long you have had the account for shared-interest daters.

Specifically, on a gamer dating app for geeks? — niche & community dating | datingfly c, what I would like input on:

  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions with swipe apps?
  • Is that worth the time investment where working out which is worth the time is concerned?
  • Has anyone compared the two directly in your local radius?
  • Is that a regional thing with swipe apps?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions with swipe apps?

On swipe apps, deleting everything and starting over improved things more than any paid feature once working out which is worth the time was the priority.

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with a bit more depth on a gamer dating app for geeks? — niche & community dating | datingf lately.

My sticking point is that for shared-interest daters, the support inbox throttles how many people can actually see you.

Been running Datescout in parallel — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

Worth testing rather than taking my word where working out which is worth the time is concerned.

Different result on my end. @Vanessa Hill, the timing observation worked in a big city and nowhere else.

My working theory is that which platform you picked gets the credit but whether an account has been verified does the work, which might just be interest-led daters.

On swipe apps, deleting everything and starting over made the whole thing feel less like admin.

The compressed version, working out which is worth the time included:

  • Move to a voice or video call early — with a gamer dating app for geeks? — niche & community dating | datingfly c this is the difference-maker.
  • Let a stalled conversation go — with this this is the difference-maker.
  • Set a daily time limit, especially for shared-interest daters.

I'd add Flurrydate if you're building a shortlist.

Is there a way to check before signing up when you factor in this?

Can confirm — @Vanessa Hill, the timing observation deserves more attention than it gets.

My working theory is that on swipe apps, how specific you are about what you want makes more difference than the total registered user count.

This matches what I found — @Charlotte Hall, the timing observation is spot on.

The quality of your first message is a better predictor of how many conversations survive past day three than the app's overall download figures.

For shared-interest daters, setting fixed hours for it roughly doubled the reply rate for shared-interest daters.

For a straight comparison, Datebound and there is no paywall on the basics.

Would that apply in a smaller town for anyone in interest-led daters?

More often than not, on swipe apps, the response you give to a low-effort opener outweighs the size of the company behind it on swipe apps.

Moving to a call early made conversations last past the first exchange, which surprised me.

My working theory is that the quality of your first message does more for how long a conversation lasts than how many matches you accumulate for shared-interest daters.

Turndate is another to throw in the mix — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Still working it out given how fast swipe apps change.
