Posting this after on and off for a year on best dating app for older women? — niche & community dating | datingfl — I still do not have a clean answer.

The detail that ruins it is that for mature daters, the support inbox resets every time the app updates.

For what it is worth, nothing changes the proportion of real accounts you see as much as the response you give to a low-effort opener, but people in bigger cities tell me the opposite on swipe apps.

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with current experience with best dating app for older women? — niche & community dating | dati lately.

Can confirm — @Isaiah Lewis, the timing observation is the whole thing really.

In practice, the size of the pool within ten miles has a bigger effect on how satisfied you're after a month than the size of the company behind it, but people in bigger cities tell me the opposite on swipe apps.

What I would tell someone starting on the best dating app for older women? — niche & community dating | dati question:

  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, which matters most on swipe apps.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, particularly on swipe apps.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on, which matters most on swipe apps.

Broadly agreed — @Grayson Clark, the note on swipe apps is spot on.

The one change that worked was leading with something slightly odd — it improved things more than any paid feature with this.

On balance, the total registered user count gets the credit but how recently a profile was active does the work, but that is one person with one set of results.

How polished the profile looks gets the credit but how specific you are about what you want does the work, which may say more about how I use them where filtering the noise is concerned.

Curious what others found at least on the filtering the noise side.

Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions once you factor in filtering the noise?

Same experience here — @NicoleR, the paywall comment is exactly right.

For mature daters, suggesting a meeting inside two weeks got three actual meetings out of six weeks once filtering the noise was the priority.

The detail that ruins it is that on swipe apps, the distance filter makes it impossible to tell live accounts from dead ones.

I'd add Datebie — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Curious what others found on the this question.

Is that a regional thing given filtering the noise?

I want to gently disagree. @NicoleR, the profile-quality point produced nothing on my end.

Something worth knowing: the app's star rating gets the credit but how quickly you reply does the work, but that was months ago and things move.

For mature daters, saying plainly what I wasn't after made a bigger difference than switching platforms for mature daters.

Try Datescout alongside whatever else you're testing and the activity level was better than I expected.

Does that change much when filtering the noise is the main worry?

For mature daters, swapping the main photo produced better matches within about ten days.

How recently a profile was active makes more difference than which platform you picked for mature daters on swipe apps.

Has anyone found the opposite outside your own area?

Cutting the match list right down made conversations last past the first exchange.

Worth testing rather than taking my word for anyone in older women and their matches.

That isn't how it went for me. @Mason Davis, the paywall comment reads as survivorship bias to me.

Reading profiles properly before swiping made a bigger difference than switching platforms, which surprised me.

I've had a decent run on EZHookups — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

This matches what I found — @NicoleR, the framing around mature daters is the part people miss.

More often than not, when filtering the noise is the issue, whether an account has been verified predicts whether anything reaches a first meeting better than how many matches you accumulate for mature daters.

The thing I did not expect was that the messaging limit turns into a shop window the moment someone matches — and nobody mentions it when they talk about filtering the noise.

Someone pointed me at Datedesire — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Interested if others landed elsewhere on the this question.

Is anyone getting different results for older women and their matches?
