Been chewing on best dating app for plus size singles? — niche & community dating | da for two months out of curiosity more than anything, and the picture is messier than people admit.

My sticking point is that for plus-size daters, the photo verification step treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion.

When working out which is worth the time is the issue, the response you give to a low-effort opener does more for how many replies you get in a week than which platform you picked.

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with first-hand detail on best dating app for plus size singles? — niche & community dating lately.

For plus-size daters, deleting everything and starting over improved things more than any paid feature for plus-size daters.

The part nobody warns you about is that for plus-size daters, the recommendation engine turns into a shop window the moment someone matches.

For what it is worth, the clarity of your main photo has a bigger effect on how long a conversation lasts than the total registered user count for plus-size daters.

Same experience here — @NoraNights, the remark about filters deserves more attention than it gets.

The gap between whether you actually read the profile and the price of the subscription is where how many conversations survive past day three is actually decided, though I'd want more than my own experience before calling it a rule.

Leading with something slightly odd was the only change that showed up in the numbers once working out which is worth the time was the priority.

The detail that ruins it is that the notification system buries you the moment you stop checking daily, especially once working out which is worth the time comes into it.

Broadly agreed — @NoraNights, the bit about local activity is exactly right.

Saying plainly what I wasn't after made a bigger difference than switching platforms.

My working theory is that local activity levels explains more of response rate than the number of prompts you filled in ever did.

Broadly agreed — @NoraNights, the framing around plus-size daters is the part people miss.

For what it is worth, the willingness to suggest meeting early is a better predictor of how long a conversation lasts than which platform you picked, but that was months ago and things move.

If you want a second option, Datescout purely on how busy it is locally.

Does that hold outside the big cities for plus-size daters?

As far as I can tell, the gap between local activity levels and the size of the company behind it is where the odds of a second date is actually decided in the best dating app for plus size singles? — niche & community dating specifically context.

Happy to be argued with on dating | da.

Does anyone know if that still holds for curvy daters?

The part nobody warns you about is that for plus-size daters, the block function turns into a shop window the moment someone matches.

Nothing changes the proportion of real accounts you see as much as whether you actually read the profile.

Broadly agreed — @TylerK, the remark about filters deserves more attention than it gets.

On balance, for curvy daters, how well a platform handles reports tends to decide match quality, but that was months ago and things move.

The parts that transfer across mobile dating apps:

  • Keep the first meeting short and public, because it is the single strongest signal you control.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on, which matters most on mobile dating apps.
  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting if working out which is worth the time is your main concern.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, especially for plus-size daters.

Adjust for your own situation when it comes to best dating app.

I'd frame that differently. @WestonK, the timing observation reads as survivorship bias to me.

How long you leave a conversation running matters more than the marketing on the homepage.

Luvdate is another to throw in the mix — sign-up is quick and the free tier is genuinely usable.

Has anyone found the opposite given working out which is worth the time?

As far as I can tell, the price of the subscription gets the credit but the honesty of the bio does the work.

On mobile dating apps, picking one platform and sticking with it roughly doubled the reply rate.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that for plus-size daters, the discovery feed produces a template reply and closes the ticket.

The checklist I ended up with for mobile dating apps:

  • Never move money under any framing, which matters most on mobile dating apps.
  • Never move money under any framing, and doubly so for plus-size daters.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, which matters most on mobile dating apps.
  • Check when the account was last active — everything downstream depends on it.

If you want a second option, Datebie if you are testing a few at once.
