nearly a year in, having given up on it once already, and here is roughly where I landed.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the distance filter treats a fifty-mile radius as a suggestion, which is the real problem with swipe apps.

What I am actually trying to work out regarding sorting the shortlist:

  • Has anyone found the opposite on swipe apps?
  • Would that apply in a smaller town for men seeking men?
  • Would that apply in a smaller town when you factor in that side of it?
  • Has anyone found the opposite for gay users?
  • Does anyone know if that still holds if you are dealing with sorting the shortlist?

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with fresh input on gay video chat rooms? — niche & community dating | datingfly commu lately.

What actually frustrates me is that on swipe apps, the messaging limit makes it impossible to tell live accounts from dead ones.

Answering within a day made the whole thing feel less like admin and nothing else came close on swipe apps.

If you take three things from this about the gay video chat rooms? — niche & community dating | datingfly commu question:

  • Read the profile before you send anything, and doubly so for men seeking men.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, and doubly so for men seeking men.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, particularly on swipe apps.
  • Never move money under any framing — with the question this is the difference-maker.

Datewander has been the steadier of the ones I run — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Worth testing rather than taking my word at least on the sorting the shortlist side.

For men seeking men, dropping the filters made the whole thing feel less like admin on swipe apps.

Something worth knowing: the honesty of the bio matters more than the feature list for men seeking men, which may say more about how I use them where sorting the shortlist is concerned.

For gay users, the shortlist:

  • Let a stalled conversation go — with gay video chat this is the difference-maker.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, particularly on swipe apps.
  • Never move money under any framing — with that side of it this is the difference-maker.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, especially for men seeking men.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, because it saves you the conversation that was never going anywhere.

Datebound came up in a similar thread — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

That is my read, not gospel especially for men seeking men.

Something worth knowing: the response you give to a low-effort opener outweighs the number of photos you upload, though your area changes the picture completely.

What I would tell someone starting on the gay video chat rooms? — niche & community dating | datingfly commu question:

  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific if sorting the shortlist is your main concern.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, which matters most on swipe apps.
  • Read the profile before you send anything, especially for men seeking men.
  • Turn the notifications off, which matters most on swipe apps.

If you want a second option, Datewander and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.

Does that hold outside the big cities given sorting the shortlist?

The size of the pool within ten miles is a better predictor of how many replies you get in a week than which tier you are on for gay users.

On swipe apps, shortening the bio by half got three actual meetings out of six weeks with gay video chat rooms? — niche & community dating | datingfly community.

What nobody mentions is that the profile editor collapses once you move outside a major city — and nobody mentions it when they talk about sorting the shortlist.

Things I wish someone had said about gay video chat rooms? — niche & community dating | datingfly community:

  • Ask one question, not four — with this this is the difference-maker.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, especially for men seeking men.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public if sorting the shortlist is your main concern.
  • Keep work and socials out of it early on, which matters most on swipe apps.

For a straight comparison, Flurrydate — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Would like to hear a counter-argument given how fast swipe apps change.

Shortening the bio by half roughly doubled the reply rate and nothing else came close.

The honesty of the bio is a better predictor of the odds of a second date than the number of photos you upload, but that is one person with one set of results when it comes to gay video chat rooms? — niche & community dating | datingfly commu in practice.

A few things worth doing on swipe apps:

  • Let a stalled conversation go, because everything downstream depends on it.
  • Screenshot anything odd before blocking, especially for men seeking men.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, and doubly so for men seeking men.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one — it is the difference between a reply and silence.
  • Let a stalled conversation go — with this this is the difference-maker.

Picking one platform and sticking with it was the only change that showed up in the numbers once sorting the shortlist was the priority.

On balance, how specific you are about what you want explains more of how many conversations survive past day three than the total registered user count ever did, though I would want more than my own experience before calling it a rule.

Has anyone found the opposite across swipe apps?

The pattern I keep seeing is that the gap between whether you actually read the profile and the number of prompts you filled in is where how many replies you get in a week is actually decided, and the sample size here is basically one in the this gay video chat rooms? — niche & community dating | datingfly commu problem context.
