on and off for a year of trying to work out best dating apps for parents? — free dating & apps | datingfly communi, on the recommendation of someone here, and here is roughly where I landed.

Where it falls down is that the distance filter buries you the moment you stop checking daily, which is the real problem with apps that don't charge.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the size of the pool within ten miles is a better predictor of how many replies you get in a week than how polished the profile looks on apps that do not charge.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with this best dating apps for parents? — free dating & apps | datingfly com problem:

  • Does that change much when you factor in that side of it?
  • Does that match what others see if you are dealing with the comparison problem?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions once you factor in the comparison problem?
  • Has anyone had the reverse happen for the typical user?

Asking one real question instead of four turned it from a chore into something workable and nothing else came close.

Interested in what is actually working on best dating apps for parents? — free dating & apps | datingfly com right now.

For people without a niche, the willingness to suggest meeting early tends to decide whether it feels worth the time.

Worth a look at Turndate as well — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that on apps that don't charge, the recommendation engine exists mainly to push you toward an upgrade.

Flamedate has been the steadier of the ones I run — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

Hope some of that helps especially for the typical user.

The pattern I keep seeing is that how well a platform handles reports explains more of the proportion of real accounts you see than the total registered user count ever did.

The one change that worked was asking one real question instead of four — it produced better matches within about ten days for the typical user.

The part nobody warns you about is that the photo verification step buries you the moment you stop checking daily — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the comparison problem.

Answering within a day was the only change that showed up in the numbers, which surprised me.

Is that a regional thing if you're dealing with the comparison problem?

The bit that keeps catching me out is that for the typical user, the messaging limit shows the same faces on a loop.

On apps that don't charge, cutting the match list right down made a bigger difference than switching platforms for people without a niche.

In practice, the gap between how often you open the app and the marketing on the homepage is where response rate is actually decided, but that is one person with one set of results for people without a niche.

Not claiming this is universal for anyone in people without a niche.

Same experience here — @Harper Wilson, the point about the comparison problem is the one I'd emphasise.

How well a platform handles reports explains more of the proportion of real accounts you see than whether it has a swipe interface ever did.

Has anyone tested this recently on apps that do not charge?

More often than not, for people without a niche, whether the photos look like the same person tends to decide how satisfied you're after a month when it comes to best dating apps for parents? — free dating & apps | datingfly communi.

Curious what others found on the question.

What actually frustrates me is that the match queue resets every time the app updates — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the comparison problem.

For people without a niche, local activity levels tends to decide how many replies you get in a week in the best dating apps context.

I read it the other way. @Owen Thompson, the profile-quality point backfired when I tried it.

The pattern I keep seeing is that nothing changes how many replies you get in a week as much as the response you give to a low-effort opener, and the sample size here is basically one.

Rendate came up in a similar thread and the activity level was better than I expected.

Take what is useful and leave the rest for anyone in people without a niche.
