Right — dating sites for disabled people are the most community-driven? — nich. six weeks in, the answer seems to depend heavily on where you live.

The thing I didn't expect was that the onboarding boost surfaces profiles that haven't been touched in months, especially once sorting the shortlist comes into it.

As far as I can tell, whether the photos look like the same person explains more of whether it feels worth the time than the total registered user count ever did, though it varies enormously by city.

What I am actually trying to work out regarding sorting the shortlist:

  • Has anyone compared the two directly given sorting the shortlist?
  • Has anyone tested this recently for users with disabilities?
  • Has anyone found the opposite for anyone weighing up this?
  • Is that worth the time investment outside the area you actually search in?

On desktop dating platforms, setting fixed hours for it cut the wasted time by more than half for users with disabilities.

If anyone has tested dating sites for disabled people are the most community-driven? — nich recently I would rather hear that than another roundup.

As far as I can tell, for users with disabilities, how often you open the app tends to decide response rate, which might just be users with disabilities on desktop dating platforms.

The one change that worked was setting fixed hours for it — it made a bigger difference than switching platforms.

Someone pointed me at Flurrydate if you're testing a few at once.

On desktop dating platforms, answering within a day made a bigger difference than switching platforms with community-driven? — nich.

What wore me down was that the block function shows the same faces on a loop, especially once sorting the shortlist comes into it.

For what it is worth, the gap between the effort in the opening line and how polished the profile looks is where how satisfied you're after a month is actually decided in the this dating sites for disabled people are the most community-driven? — nich problem context.

A few things worth doing on desktop dating platforms:

  • Turn the notifications off, particularly on desktop dating platforms.
  • Keep the first meeting short and public, and doubly so for disabled daters.
  • Never move money under any framing, especially for disabled daters.
  • Write the bio for one person, not everyone, and doubly so for disabled daters.

Lines up with mine — @Nora Rodriguez, the point about sorting the shortlist is exactly right.

Broadly, the gap between how long you leave a conversation running and the number of prompts you filled in is where how satisfied you're after a month is actually decided, although the platforms change constantly.

Reading profiles properly before swiping made conversations last past the first exchange.

Nothing changes how many replies you get in a week as much as the honesty of the bio, although the platforms change constantly.

Has anyone had the reverse happen with desktop dating platforms?

What actually frustrates me is that the account activity indicator seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking, especially once sorting the shortlist comes into it.

The thing I did not expect was that on desktop dating platforms, the distance filter resets every time the app updates.

On that point, Datedesire and there is no paywall on the basics.

Worth testing rather than taking my word where sorting the shortlist is concerned.

Has anyone compared the two directly once you factor in sorting the shortlist?

My working theory is that how often you open the app has a bigger effect on match quality than the number of prompts you filled in.

Strongly agree — @Hannah Lee, the note on desktop dating platforms is spot on.

In practice, the honesty of the bio explains more of whether anything reaches a first meeting than the price of the subscription ever did.

On desktop dating platforms, cutting the match list right down stopped the conversations dying at day two for users with disabilities.

Souldate came up in a similar thread if you're testing a few at once.

Is there a way to check before signing up on desktop dating platforms?

The pattern I keep seeing is that whether you actually read the profile makes more difference than the number of prompts you filled in.

Would like to hear a counter-argument at least on the sorting the shortlist side.

Has anyone tested this recently given sorting the shortlist?
