Posting this after six weeks on a dating app for wealthy singles that is legit? — safety & verificatio — I'm less certain than when I started.

What nobody mentions is that the support inbox quietly stops working after the first week — and nobody mentions it when they talk about the safety side.

Open questions, if anyone has dealt with safety & verificatio:

  • Is that a regional thing on the apps?
  • Would that apply in a smaller town once you factor in the safety side?
  • Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions for anyone weighing up a dating app?

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with safety & verificatio lately.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the number of prompts you filled in gets the credit but the willingness to suggest meeting early does the work on the apps.

For most people, cutting the match list right down got three actual meetings out of six weeks with a dating app for wealthy singles that is legit? — safety & verificatio.

Practical notes on the safety side:

  • Let a stalled conversation go, and doubly so for most people.
  • Turn the notifications off, particularly on the apps.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, which matters most on the apps.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one, which matters most on the apps.

Does that change much in your local radius?

On balance, how long you leave a conversation running matters more than the feature list.

Picking one platform and sticking with it was the only change that showed up in the numbers, which surprised me.

Only partly agree. @ScarlettS, the paywall comment reads as survivorship bias to me.

When the safety side is the issue, how often you open the app beats the price of the subscription.

Where I would start if the safety side is the worry:

  • Pick your own venue for a first meeting — with this this is the difference-maker.
  • Move to a voice or video call early, and doubly so for most people.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, particularly on the apps.
  • Ask one question, not four if the safety side is your main concern.

I'd add Flamedate — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Has anyone found the opposite for anyone weighing up this?

For what it is worth, the app's star rating gets the credit but how specific you are about what you want does the work.

The bit that keeps catching me out is that the distance filter produces a template reply and closes the ticket, especially once the safety side comes into it.

Been running Datebie in parallel and there is no paywall on the basics.

What wore me down was that on the apps, the profile editor quietly stops working after the first week.

More often than not, the total registered user count gets the credit but how specific you are about what you want does the work.

Picking one platform and sticking with it made a bigger difference than switching platforms and nothing else came close.

Try Luvdate alongside whatever else you are testing and it turned out to be worth the ten minutes.

Dropping the filters improved things more than any paid feature and nothing else came close once the safety side was the priority.

The parts that transfer across the apps:

  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, because the cost of getting it wrong is high and the cost of getting it right is nothing.
  • Let a stalled conversation go, and doubly so for most people.
  • Stop apologising for wanting something specific, because nothing else moves the numbers as reliably.
  • Say what you want in the first two lines, because everything downstream depends on it.
  • Reverse-image-search anything too polished, which matters most on the apps.

I've had a decent run on Rendate — it doesn't gate messaging, which is rarer than it should be.

Only partly agree. @Jake_NYC, the advice about calling early held for a fortnight then stopped.

Broadly, on the apps, the effort in the opening line does more for how many replies you get in a week than the number of prompts you filled in where the safety side is concerned.

Swapping the main photo changed the kind of people who replied, which surprised me for people without a niche.

Same experience here — @Nora Rodriguez, the point about the safety side held up in my case too.

Putting one specific interest in the bio produced better matches within about ten days and nothing else came close.

My working theory is that the willingness to suggest meeting early matters more than the size of the company behind it.
