Right — best dating website reviews to trust for honest info? — safety & verif. roughly a year in, my view has shifted twice since.

What wore me down was that for anyone starting out, the match queue seems designed to keep you swiping rather than talking.

Specifically, on the best dating website reviews to trust for honest info? — safety & v question, what I would like input on:

  • Does that match what others see if you are dealing with vetting people properly?
  • Does anyone know if that still holds with the sites?
  • Is that worth the time investment given vetting people properly?
  • Is that still true where vetting people properly is concerned?

Keen to hear from anyone who has dealt with best dating website reviews to trust for honest info? — safety & verif lately.

Picking one platform and sticking with it was the only change that showed up in the numbers, which surprised me.

Datescout is another to throw in the mix — free to browse and message, which is the main thing.

That is my read, not gospel given how fast the sites change.

Same experience here — @ColbyR, the note on the sites is spot on.

On the sites, cutting the match list right down improved things more than any paid feature.

As far as I can tell, nothing changes whether anything reaches a first meeting as much as how long you leave a conversation running for most of us.

Has anyone got numbers rather than impressions outside your own area?

Flurrydate is quick to set up if you want a second data point.

For anyone starting out, putting one specific interest in the bio got three actual meetings out of six weeks.

The recurring problem is that on the sites, the match queue resets every time the app updates.

In practice, local activity levels explains more of whether anything reaches a first meeting than the app's overall download figures ever did, which may say more about how I use them where vetting people properly is concerned.

Has anyone found the opposite if you are dealing with vetting people properly?

This matches what I found — @Caleb Rodriguez, the remark about filters is the whole thing really.

Broadly, for most of us, the honesty of the bio tends to decide how satisfied you're after a month on the sites.

My rules for vetting people properly, such as they are:

  • Let a stalled conversation go if vetting people properly is your main concern.
  • Read the profile before you send anything if vetting people properly is your main concern.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one, which matters most on the sites.
  • Swap the group photo for a clear one — with best dating website this is the difference-maker.
  • Give a platform three weeks before judging it, because the alternative wastes weeks.

Happy to be argued with for anyone in most of us.
